Glucose transport in Crithidia luciliae
Molecular and Biochemical Parasitology, 1992The glucose analogue, 2-deoxy-D-glucose, was used to characterise the glucose transport system in Crithidia luciliae choanomastigotes. Uptake was temperature dependent with a Q10 of 2, and saturable with a Km of 0.22 mM and Vmax of 5.5 nmol min-1 (mg protein)-1 at 23 degrees C.

Triterpenoid oligoglycosides from Chionodoxa luciliae
Phytochemistry, 1993Four minor novel oligoglycosides of triterpenes having a lanostane-type skeleton were isolated from the bulbs of Chionodoxa luciliae. The C30 skeleton of the aglycones has been found for the first time in Liliaceae and can be considered the metabolic precursor of the C29 eucosterol skeleton.

Nortriterpenoid oligoglycosides from Chionodoxa luciliae
Phytochemistry, 1993Six new oligoglycosides of eucosterol derivatives were isolated from the bulbs of Chionodoxa luciliae Bossis. A chemotaxonomical relationship based on glycoside and homoisoflavanone content is revealed for some Muscari, Bellevalia, Chionodoxa and Scilla species.
