Immunization of Sheep With Larval Antigens of Lucilia cuprina [PDF]
Sheep were immunized with antigens extracted from third-instar larvae of L. cuprina. This procedure produced substantial titres of circulating antibody as measured by solid-phase radioimmunoassay or immunodiffusion or by both techniques. However, immunization did not confer protection against subsequent implant challenge with first-instar larvae.
