A novel metadata schema is introduced to address the sparsity of microstructure‐sensitive mechanical data. The design follows the material modeling workflow, as each run results in the definition of unique data objects. The schema includes categorical elements to ensure findability, accessibility, interoperability, and reusability (FAIR). This approach

Ludwik Fleck on the social construction of medical knowledge [PDF]
Abstract The subject of the development and transmission of medical knowledge has remained, until recently, relatively little studied by medical sociologists. But as early as the 1930s the pioneering studies of Ludwik Fleck, a physician and historian of science, dealt with the evolution of medical knowledge and the genesis of medical facts.

Main Points SORLA directs CD14 to the cell surface, sensitizing microglia to inflammatory stimuli. SORLA activity in microglia may play an important role in shaping the inflammatory environment of the brain. ABSTRACT Sorting protein‐related receptor containing class A repeats (SORLA) is an intracellular trafficking receptor encoded by the Alzheimer's ...

Engineering Spin‐Orbit Interactions in Silicon Qubits at the Atomic‐Scale
Different Dresselhaus and Rashba spin‐orbit strengths from 0 − 1113 × 10−13 eV cm for spin qubits can be engineered by placing phosphorus atoms in different lattice locations in the silicon crystal. The charge noise induced spin relaxation can therefore be minimized when there is no effective spin‐orbit coupling.
