Luke 22:29-30 and the Time Frame for Dining and Ruling

open access: yesTyndale Bulletin, 1993
This work addresses the issue of the time frame anticipated by the Lukan Jesus for the fulfilment of the promises in Luke 22:29-30: are the apostles to dine and rule in the church age, in the eschaton, or in both eras? On the basis of verbal, grammatical,

Reorganization of Innate Immune Cell Lipid Profiles by Bioinspired Meroterpenoids to Limit Inflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Resolution pharmacology is an emerging strategy to tackle inflammatory pathologies. Bioinspired meroterpenoids induce a lipid mediator class switch toward inflammation resolution in vitro and in vivo by targeting key nodes in lipid mediator biosynthesis and neutral lipid dynamics.

Performance Estimation and Ex Vivo Validation of Untethered Magnetic Robots in Soft Tissue

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an empirical model that quantitatively predicts the step‐out frequency of screw‐type untethered magnetic robots (UMRs) in soft viscoelastic environments, including ex vivo brain tissue. By integrating key parameters into a dimensionless framework, the model enables estimation of robot performance across a range of biological ...

Preaching and Evangelism

open access: yesIn die Skriflig, 1985
In the New Testament any follower of the Way could preach, declare good news. Luke reports that Jesus said to someone, “Follow me.” But the man wanted first to bury his father.

Single‐Molecule Imaging of Endogenous RNA Using a Miniaturized and Circularly Permuted CRISPR‐Cas13 Degron‐Masking System CDegSR

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CDegSR, a new tool for imaging RNA at single molecule level in living cells was developed by researchers. Background noise was eliminated by protein engineering and making it degrade when not bound to its target. This allowed individual RNA molecules to be clearly imaged and tracked.

Cysteine Thioaldehydes: Photolytic Generation, Reactivity, and Biological Implications

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Photolysis of cysteine phenacylsulfides bearing non‐conjugating electron‐withdrawing substituents leads to high conversions into cysteine thioaldehydes through a Norrish type‐II pathway. This methodology enabled the study of the aqueous reactivity of these important biosynthetic intermediates, which, depending on peptide sequence, pH and buffer ...

A Deep-Language Mathematical Analysis of Gospels, Acts and Revelation

open access: yesReligions, 2019
The paper aims at casting some light on the interrelations among the Gospels, Acts and Revelation. We do not consider words ranking and their frequency of occurrence, as largely done in the literature, but we analyze, statistically, some mathematical ...

Thermoradiative Diodes Using Black Phosphorus van der Waals Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
We demonstrate thermoradiative diodes based on black phosphorus (bP${\rm bP}$)/molybdenum disulfide (MoS2$MoS_2$) van der Waals heterojunctions which generate power by exchanging photons with a colder environment. The bandgap of black phosphorus is well positioned to exchange photons with outer space through the mid‐wave atmospheric window.

The Ascension of Jesus Christ: A Critical and Exegetical Study of the Ascension in Luke-Acts and in the Jewish and Christian Contexts [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The aim of the present dissertation is to analyse and interpret the Ascension of Jesus as described in Luke-Acts, and to examine both the Jewish rapture traditions and the early Christian reception and interpretation of the Lukan accounts. In my research,

Boosting Charge Storage in Ferri/Ferrocyanide‐Based Alkaline Redox Flow Batteries

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By modifying the solvation environment, cation engineering through Li+ substitution of traditional K+ or Na+ boosts the alkaline solubility of the ferri/ferrocyanide catholyte redox couple, providing a viable pathway to overcome the long‐standing challenge of energy density limitations for aqueous redox flow batteries (RBFs).
