The utility of F wave chronodispersion in lumbosacral radiculopathy

Journal of Neurology, 1993
The sensitivity of F wave chronodispersion (Fc) in evaluating nerve root pathology is unknown. We compared Fc in 91 patients with clinical and EMG evidence of L5 or S1 radiculopathy with Fc in 81 controls in order to evaluate its sensitivity in lumbosacral radiculopathy.

Electrodiagnostic examination of lumbosacral radiculopathies.

Electromyography and clinical neurophysiology, 2000
To determine the diagnostic efficacy of late responses and of magnetic stimulation in the electrodiagnostic evaluation of lumbosacral radiculopathies, 42 patients with acute monoradiculopathies of L5 or S1 were examined. We performed conventional nerve conduction studies, F-wave studies, needle electrode examination (NEE) and magnetic stimulation.

Anatomic issues related to cervical and lumbosacral radiculopathy

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinics of North America, 2002
The anatomy of cervical and lumbar spinal nerves is well established. Knowledge of the normal and pathoanatomy of impingement of these roots is helpful in the diagnosis of radiculopathy in many cases. Frequently, symptoms and signs do not correlate with expected anatomical patterns. Variations of nerve roots, spinal nerves, and plexuses occur commonly.
