Sensitivity of Ru(bpy)_2dppz^(2+) Luminescence to DNA Defects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The luminescent characteristics of Ru(bpy)_2dppz^(2+) (dppz = dipyrido[3,2-a:2′,3′-c]phenazine), a DNA light switch, were investigated in the presence of oligonucleotides containing single base mismatches or an abasic site.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

A theoretical study of thermal management of FBAR considering thickness- and temperature-dependent thermal conductivity of AlN

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2022
Reliable and long-term operation of thin film bulk acoustic resonators (FBARs) under high power relies on the optimization of thermal resistance. In this work, thermal design strategies for high power FBARs are explored theoretically.

Charakterizace tenkovrstvých elektroluminiscenčních součástek [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Jádrem této disertační práce bylo studovat optické a elektrické charakteristiky tenkovrstvých elektroluminiscenčních součástek řízených střídavým proudem (ACTFEL) a zejména vliv procesu stárnutí luminiforů na jejich optické a elektrické vlastnosti. Cílem

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Mathematical model of the Lux luminescence system in the terrestrial bacterium Photorhabdus luminescens. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
A mathematical model of the Lux luminescence system, governed by the operon luxCDABE in the terrestrial bacterium Photorhabdus luminescens, was constructed using a set of coupled ordinary differential equations.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Ab initio Study of Luminescence in Ce-doped Lu$_2$SiO$_5$: The Role of Oxygen Vacancies on Emission Color and Thermal Quenching Behavior

open access: yes, 2018
We study from first principles the luminescence of Lu$_2$SiO$_5$:Ce$^{3+}$ (LSO:Ce), a scintillator widely used in medical imaging applications, and establish the crucial role of oxygen vacancies (V$_O$) in the generated spectrum.

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

A Modified NMOS Inverter With Rail-To-Rail Output Swing and Its Application in the Gate Driver Integrated by Metal Oxide TFTs

open access: yesIEEE Journal of the Electron Devices Society, 2021
A modified NMOS inverter employing output feedback theme has been proposed in this paper. The feedback structure can guarantee high voltage output at a wider range of low voltage input.
