Impact of Hot Isostatic Pressing on Microstructure Evolution and Creep Performance of Powder Bed Fusion–Laser Beam Processed CM247LC

The influence of Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) temperature on the microstructure and creep performance of powder bed fusion–laser beam processed CM247LC superalloy is investigated. Grain growth and γ’ precipitate evolution are characterized following HIP at varying temperatures.

The luminosity function of quasars

We propose a new evolutionary model for the optical luminosity function of quasars. Our analytical model is derived from fits to the empirical luminosity function estimated by Hartwick and Schade and Warren, Hewett, and Osmer on the basis of more than 1200 quasars over the range of redshifts 0 approximately less than z approximately less than 4.5.

The OH Megamaser Luminosity Function

We present the 1667 MHz OH megamaser luminosity function derived from a single flux-limited survey. The Arecibo Observatory OH megamaser (OHM) survey has doubled the number of known OH megamasers, and we list the complete catalog of OHMs detected by the survey here, including three redetections of known OHMs.

Relations between various classes of AGN should show up when examining their LFs. For Seyfert galaxies, such studies have been affected by the prevalence of (essentially) integrated magnitudes. Proper nuclear magnitudes have been determined in an effort of CCD imaging, which enable an appropriate comparison with QSOs.

Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Property Degradation of Sn0.5Ag0.7Cu5Bi Solder Joints with High Indium Alloying

This study identifies 12 wt% indium (In) as the optimal composition for Sn0.5Ag0.7Cu5Bi solder joints, achieving 87% ductile fracture and 81% suppression of intermetallic compound (IMC) growth versus 4 wt% In. High‐In alloys (15–17 wt%) show abnormal IMC thickening due to thermal activation.

(Nb,Ti)(C,N)‐Precipitates in High‐Strength Low‐Alloyed Steels—Modeling, Characterization and Validation

Steel samples are investigated using complementary simulations and measurements. Transmission electron microscopy in bright‐field mode, combined with energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy maps for titanium and niobium, reveals distinct particle populations. Simulations reproduce these in size and composition.
