As human‐modified landscape and climate changes proliferate, maintaining biodiversity and understanding the function and quality of available habitat is imperative. As anurans (frogs/toads) such as Pseudacris crucifer, can be an indicator species of habitat quality and ecosystem productivity, studying the anuran community in a mixed‐land use region ...

Synthesis, Structures, and Transport Properties of Quaternary Ba–Ag–Tr–As Materials (Tr = Ga, In)
The synthesis, structures, and properties of two triel‐containing quaternary arsenides are investigated. The synthesis, structures, and properties of two quaternary barium–arsenide materials are presented. The first, Ba4Ag2.3In1.7As8, is a novel material with the monoclinic unit cell (P21/m space group).

Bridging Experiment and Theory to Reveal Compounds in K–Zn(Cd)–Bi Systems
Theoretically predicted compounds are experimentally realized via the facile hydride route, permitting experimental screening of K–Zn–Bi and “empty” K–Cd–Bi systems. The high‐yield synthesis has enabled a study of crystal and electronic structure, thermal stability, and magnetic properties of previously reported KZnBi, KZn2Bi2, and novel KCdBi and ...

This paper presents a multiphysics co‐simulation approach to study the behaviour of a 2‐D finite‐element model and a magnetic equivalent model of an induction machine, both, respectively, coupled with a mechanical radial ball bearing model. The study generates synthetic vibration and current signals to investigate the effects of misalignment caused by ...

Abstract This research introduces an equivalent circuit model and a computational method to address complex mechanical motion issues through electromechanical analogies. The study initially refines core vibration characteristics using single‐ and multi‐degree‐of‐freedom models, subsequently establishing equivalent circuit models for these various ...

Analysis of excessive sheath currents in multiple cable circuits bonded to the same grounding grid
Abstract In urban power networks, a common practice is to bond numerous high‐voltage cable circuits to a single grounding grid located in underground tunnels, primarily for reasons of installation convenience. In these situations, excessively high levels of sheath currents were often detected during routine inspections, but no electrical faults were ...
