Lunar and Semi-Lunar Rhythms in Fishes
1992Biological rhythmicity, with a periodicity that is correlated with major events in the fluctuating physical (abiotic) environment, is a widespread phenomenon in the living world. The general properties of the observed rhythms in organisms as diverse as algae and the higher mammals are remarkably similar suggesting that they represent a fundamental and ...

America's long-term commitment to a new Space Exploration Initiative has focused attention on the basic requirements for establishing a permanently manned lunar outpost and, ultimately, a martian one. High among these is the development of Regenerative Life Support Systems--with lunar agriculture an essential component--to provide a high level of self-

Science, 1998
Lunar Prospector is providing a global map of the composition of the moon and analyzing the moon's gravity and magnetic fields. It has been in a polar orbit around the moon since 16 January 1998. Neutron flux data show that there is abundant H, and hence probably abundant water ice, in the lunar polar regions.

Lunar Troilite: Crystallography
Science, 1970Fine, euhedral crystals of troilite from lunar sample 10050 show a hexagonal habit consistent with the high-temperature NiAs-type structure. Complete three-dimensional counter intensity data have been measured and used to confirm and refine Bertaut's proposed low-temperature crystal structure.
