A comprehensive review of lunar-based manufacturing and construction
As humankind prepares to establish outposts and infrastructure on the Moon, the ability to manufacture parts and buildings on-site is crucial. While transporting raw materials from Earth can be costly and time-consuming, in-situ resource utilization (ISRU) presents an attractive alternative.

Thermoplastic attachment is introduced as a scalable surface coating strategy to improve the durability and dielectric reliability of flexible electrodynamic dust shields. By embedding chemically modified reduced graphene oxide (CMrGO) electrodes within thermoplastic laminates, mechanical degradation, abrasion damage, and vacuum‐induced electrical ...

SPECTRAL UNMIXING BASED CONSTRUCTION OF LUNAR MINERAL ABUNDANCE MAPS [PDF]
Abstract. In this study we apply a nonlinear spectral unmixing algorithm to a nearly global lunar spectral reflectance mosaic derived from hyper-spectral image data acquired by the Moon Mineralogy Mapper (M3) instrument. Corrections for topographic effects and for thermal emission were performed.

A Cryopreservation‐Based Supply Chain Strategy for Extrusion Bioprinting in Space
Extrusion bioprinting on crewed space platforms requires a bioink that stays functional along the logistic chain. Here, cells and biomaterial ink travel separately, the cells cryopreserved and the ink cold stored, and are combined only minutes before printing.
