Perilunate instability: A rare variant
Perilunate dislocations and perilunate fracture dislocations are rare injuries that occur as a result of high energy trauma. We describe a case of a volar fracture dislocation of the proximal pole of the scaphoid with an associated scapholunate and ...

Ultrasound Findings in Symptomatic HADD of the Hand and Wrist. A Case Series of 37 Patients
Ultrasound enables accurate diagnosis of hydroxyapatite deposition disease of the hand and wrist in patients with acute, non‐traumatic pain, typically in middle‐aged women. Characteristic calcifications, often in the resorptive phase, support diagnosis, while radiography may confirm findings without the need for advanced imaging.

Sickle Cell Disease: Historical Overview and Current Therapies
ABSTRACT Sickle cell disease (SCD) affects millions worldwide, yet the limited treatment options currently available do not always adequately control the disease and carry significant side effects. At present, the only curative treatment is hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) transplantation, a procedure that carries considerable challenges and numerous ...

A variant of perilunate dislocation: A case report and literature review
Perilunate dislocation is a rare carpal dislocation, which are predominantly trans-styloid and trans-scaphoid. This type of fracture dislocation is seen due to axial loading of a hyperextended ulnar-deviated wrist.

Perilunate Dislocation – Case Report and Review of Literature [PDF]
Perilunate dislocations are rare injuries comprising of less than 10% of all wrist injuries. These usually occur after high-energy trauma to the wrist. One-fourth (25%) of perilunate dislocations are missed at the initial presentation.

Tailored heat treatments transform additively manufactured high‐nitrogen martensitic Cr steel from austenitic as‐built condition to high‐hardness states. Isothermal bainitizing at 250°C generates an ultrafine nanostructure and achieves higher hardness than conventional hardening and tempering, highlighting a promising postprocessing route for laser ...

Palmar Divergent Dislocation of Scaphoid and Lunate
A 28-year-old man presented with a palmar divergent dislocation of the scaphoid and lunate. He was treated with an open reduction and an internal fixation with two Kirschner's wires after the 25th day of trauma due to a neurological injury.

Russian wheat aphid: a model for genomic plasticity and a challenge to breeders
Invasive foundress finds suitable habitat and reproduces through pathogenesis. Wingless females produce life offspring quickly, which leads to high population densities. High population densities result in competition, which may induce epigenetic changes and wing development for dispersal.
