DRIVE v3: Command Line Application for Identity‐by‐Descent Haplotype Clustering in Large Biobank Scale Data

open access: yesGenetic Epidemiology, Volume 50, Issue 5, July 2026.
ABSTRACT There is a need for genetic analytical methods that integrate multi‐individual identity‐by‐descent (IBD) tools with phenotypic enrichment testing to discover novel shared haplotypes contributing to disease traits. Existing tools are designed to identify IBD sharing and leave interpretation and phenotype association tests to further analyses ...

Effects of Mesenchymal Stem Cell‐Derived Exosomes on Lung Inflammation in a Murine Aspiration Model

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 7, Page 3097-3102, July 2026.
This study assessed the effect of intravenous MSC‐derived exosomes on inflammatory lung injury in a rat model of LPS aspiration. Compared with LPS alone, MSC exosome treatment reduced histologic lung injury overall (significant group effect p = 0.02; linear trend p = 0.006) and significantly lowered Tnf gene expression on qRT‐PCR (p < 0.05).

A Synergistic Dual‐Antibody Cocktail Targeting α‐Toxin Protects Against Invasive Staphylococcus aureus Infection by Neutralizing Virulence and Enhancing Host Defense

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 7, July 2026.
Two Hla‐targeting monoclonal antibodies (Hm0399, Hm0411) were isolated from rFSAV‐vaccinated volunteers. Their cocktail (Hm3‐4) showed synergistic anti‐S. aureus activity. Hm0411 blocks Hla‐receptor binding via salt bridges; Hm0399 potentiates Fc effector functions through hydrogen bonds.
