Microglial reprogramming: a potential new frontier in enhancing immunotherapy for melanoma brain metastasis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Microglia act as tumor suppressors during brain metastasis colonization but shift to a tumor‐promoting role after melanoma brain metastases form. NF‐κB/RelA signaling emerges as a key driver of this phenotypic shift. Targeting this pathway reprograms microglia into a pro‐inflammatory state, enhancing antitumor immunity and immune checkpoint inhibitor ...

MET and NF2 alterations confer primary and early resistance to first‐line alectinib treatment in ALK‐positive non‐small‐cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Alectinib resistance in ALK+ NSCLC depends on treatment sequence and EML4‐ALK variants. Variant 1 exhibited off‐target resistance after first‐line treatment, while variant 3 and later lines favored on‐target mutations. Early resistance involved off‐target alterations, like MET and NF2, while on‐target mutations emerged with prolonged therapy.

Ubiquitination of transcription factors in cancer: unveiling therapeutic potential

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In cancer, dysregulated ubiquitination of transcription factors contributes to the uncontrolled growth and survival characteristics of tumors. Tumor suppressors are degraded by aberrant ubiquitination, or oncogenic transcription factors gain stability through ubiquitination, thereby promoting tumorigenesis.

An Explainable Neural Radiomic Sequence Model with Spatiotemporal Continuity for Quantifying 4DCT-based Pulmonary Ventilation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Accurate evaluation of regional lung ventilation is essential for the management and treatment of lung cancer patients, supporting assessments of pulmonary function, optimization of therapeutic strategies, and monitoring of treatment response. Currently, ventilation scintigraphy using nuclear medicine techniques is widely employed in clinical practice;

Pulmonary rehabilitation in neuromuscular disorders and spinal cord injury

open access: yesRevista Portuguesa de Pneumologia, 2006
Most patients with impairment of pulmonary function can be differentiated into those who have primarily oxygenation impairment with hypoxia due to predominantly intrinsic lung/airways disease and for whom hypercapnia is an end stage event, and those with
