SAM-Guided Accurate Pulmonary Nodule Image Segmentation

open access: yesIEEE Access
Addressing the challenges of inaccurate lung nodule segmentation due to significant scale variations, indistinct boundary textures, and intense background noise, this study introduces a Segment Anything model (SAM)-based feature-enhanced U-Net algorithm ...

Discriminative Random Field Segmentation of Lung Nodules in CT Studies [PDF]

open access: yesComputational and Mathematical Methods in Medicine, 2013
The ability to conduct high-quality semiautomatic 3D segmentation of lung nodules in CT scans is of high value to busy radiologists. Discriminative random fields (DRFs) were used to segment 3D volumes of lung nodules in CT scan data using only one seed point per nodule. Optimal parameters for the DRF inference were first found using simulated annealing.

Artificial Intelligence in Systemic Sclerosis: Clinical Applications, Challenges, and Future Directions

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is a rare autoimmune disease defined by immune dysregulation, vasculopathy, and progressive fibrosis of the skin and internal organs. Despite advances in care, major complications such as interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myocardial involvement remain the leading causes of morbidity and mortality.

GAN‐LSTM‐3D: An efficient method for lung tumour 3D reconstruction enhanced by attention‐based LSTM

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Three‐dimensional (3D) image reconstruction of tumours can visualise their structures with precision and high resolution. In this article, GAN‐LSTM‐3D method is proposed for 3D reconstruction of lung cancer tumours from 2D CT images. Our method consists of three phases: lung segmentation, tumour segmentation, and tumour 3D reconstruction. Lung

Targeting p21‐High Senescent Kupffer Cells Nanotherapeutically Potentiates Antitumor Immunity in Advanced Hepatocellular Carcinoma with Portal Vein Tumor Thrombus

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schematic illustration of a biomimetic SKEV@AAV platform targeting p21‐high senescent Kupffer cells (sKCs) in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) with portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT). p21‐high sKCs accumulate in the PVTT microenvironment and establish an immunosuppressive, SASP‐rich environment that facilitates tumor cell proliferation and immune evasion.

Biomimetic Gradient Hydrogels Regulate Osteochondral Regeneration Microenvironment Remodeling via Spatiotemporal Programming Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Electric field‑driven continuous gradient hydrogel GHZF4 achieves spatiotemporal growth factor release, modulates immune microenvironment, angiogenesis and osteochondral differentiation. It realizes cell‑free functional osteochondral repair in rat/rabbit models, offering a promising biomimetic strategy for gradient tissue regeneration.

IMPROVED LUNG NODULE CLASSIFICATION USING MULTI-CLASS ARTIFICAL NEURAL NETWORK WITH BACK PROPAGATION ALGORITHM [PDF]

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Image and Video Processing, 2019
This paper designed a novel method to overcome the problem of the lung nodule overlapping adjacent structures. We developed a lobe segmentation algorithm for identifying lung lobes CT images.

WDR72 Promotes Neuroblastoma Stemness and Progression by Sequestering TRIM31‐Mediated Degradation of CBX8

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study unveiled that METTL14 mediates m6A modification of WDR72 mRNA to stabilize and enhance WDR72 expression, which disrupts TRIM31‐mediated ubiquitination of CBX8 protein and retards its degradation, finally the elevated CBX8 contributes to tumor stemness.
