Hyper‐Intense Tumor Peripheral Accumulation of Antibody‐Conjugated Iron Oxide Nanoparticles can Enable Breast Cancer Detection by Magnetic Particle Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tumor‐associated inflammation retains antibody‐targeted or non‐specific antibody conjugated nanoparticles within the tumor microenvironment. Magnetic Particle Imaging (MPI) enables non‐invasive detection and differentiation of tumors from other organs, owing to higher nanoparticle retention by inflammatory cells in the tumor periphery.

Natural Product Toosendanin Suppresses the Malignant Development of Skin Melanoma by Targeting BNC2 for Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
BNC2 exhibits context‐dependent opposing functions across multiple cancer types. This study reveals BNC2 as an oncogenic driver of melanoma proliferation and metastasis through transcriptional activation of PIK3CA. The natural compound TSN simultaneously degrades BNC2 and its oncogenic partner SMAD3 via CRBN‐dependent ubiquitination.

Designing a System for Detection of Pulmonary Nodules in Lung CT Images Using Support Vector Machine Classifier

open access: yesمجله انفورماتیک سلامت و زیست پزشکی, 2017
Introduction: Detection of pulmonary nodules using CT scan images is one of the methods for early detection of cancer. One of the main challenges for the detection of pulmonary nodules is identifying pulmonary nodules and differentiating them from lung ...

AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

Consequences of Losing Incidental Pulmonary Nodules to Follow-Up:Unmonitored Nodules Progressing to Stage IV Lung Cancer

open access: yes
Introduction: Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death globally. Incidental pulmonary nodules represent a golden opportunity for early diagnosis, which is critical for improving survival rates.

Glucose and Glutamine Deprivation Promotes Breast Cancer Lung Metastasis via BRD4‐Dependent Enhancer Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To model a nutrient‐restricted tumor microenvironment, breast cancer cells were adapted to low glucose and glutamine levels. In the adapted cells, BRD4‐driven enhancer activation increases pro‐invasive EDN1 expression, facilitated by ATF3/c‐JUN and reinforced by enhancer RNA.

Deubiquitination of Vangl by USP6 and USP32 Regulates Planar Cell Polarity Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Compartment‐specific deubiquitination controls Vangl dosage and planar cell polarity signaling. USP6 and USP32 regulate distinct subcellular pools of Vangl by removing distinct ubiquitin modifications from Vangl proteins. This regulatory mechanism safeguards PCP‐dependent embryonic morphogenesis, while aberrant USP32‐dependent stabilization of VANGL ...

The TUBA1B–G3BP2 Axis Sustains p65 Transcriptional Activity to Promote Hepatocellular Carcinoma Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TUBA1B is consistently upregulated in hepatocellular carcinoma and sustains malignant progression by stabilizing G3BP2. By restraining TRIM25‐associated K48‐linked ubiquitination, TUBA1B preserves the G3BP2–IκBα complex and basal NF‐κB/p65 activity. Concurrent TUBA1B/G3BP2 upregulation identifies an aggressive HCC subgroup with enhanced p65 activation ...
