Survival Following Segmentectomy or Lobectomy in Patients With Stage IB Non-small-cell Lung Cancer
Background: Lobectomy with mediastinal lymph node dissection has always been recognized as the standardized treatment for early-stage non-small-cell lung cancer.

Anatomic thoracoscopic segmentectomy for early-stage lung cancer [PDF]
Over the past 20 years, there have been significant advancements in thoracoscopic surgical techniques as well as in lung cancer screening protocols, which have identified greater numbers of smaller lung tumors (

The role of robotic segmentectomy for non-small cell lung cancer
Segmentectomy may be applied to all segments; superior segmentectomies (lower lobe superior segments for both lungs), lingulectomies (two segments forming lingulas of upper left lobe) and basal segmentectomies (segments other than superior segment for ...

In our study, among 135 completely resected pure or partially solid malignant GGOs, the presence of a feeding arterial vessel is an independent predictor to consolidation. Pathological variables are reported as early as this stage and LVI+ mGGOs present a significant lower disease‐free survival, regardless of their consolidation.

Intraoperative frozen‐section assessment for pulmonary lesions prolongs surgery. In 75 patients with 81 samples, we compared rapid on‐site evaluation (ROSE) with frozen section. ROSE greatly reduced diagnostic time with reliable diagnostic accuracy. ROSE represents a valuable auxiliary tool for rapid intraoperative lung‐tumor diagnosis.

Anatomical segmentectomy is an advantageous procedure because it spares healthy lung that has potential to show compensatory growth after lung resection and decreases the risk of air leak and residual resection, which becomes a problem in wedge resection.

The flow of this trial and the treatment schedule of adjuvant chemotherapy with nedaplatin plus docetaxel for completely resected non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) (A). The primary endpoint of this study was tolerability, assessed by the completion rate of the planned four chemotherapy cycles. As a result, it was 74.3%, exceeding that reported for the

Guideline concordance of stage IIIA non‐small‐cell lung cancer treatment in the Australian setting
Abstract Background Stage IIIA non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is a life‐limiting disease, and the level of adherence to evidence‐based treatment guidelines in the Australian setting is unclear. Aim To assess the level of adherence to stage IIIA NSCLC treatment guidelines prior to the advent of immunotherapy and highlight factors that may contribute
