Intratumoral bacteria engineered for tumor therapy
Interdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.This article comprehensively reviews engineered intratumoral bacteria used in tumor therapy. The concept development, characteristics, and engineering methods of intratumoral bacteria are summarized. The mechanisms and the translational significance by which engineered intratumoral bacteria interfere with tumor progression are discussed and highlighted.
