Decellularized Extracellular Matrix Scaffolds to Engineer the Dormant Landscape of Microscopic Colorectal Cancer Liver Metastasis

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Decellularized liver extracellular matrix scaffolds provide a platform to study dormant liver‐metastatic colorectal cancer. They induce reversible dormancy, in combination with nutrient depletion and low dose chemotherapy, through cell cycle arrest and chemotherapy resistance.

Comparison of methods of measuring static lung volumes.

open access: yesMonaldi archives for chest disease = Archivio Monaldi per le malattie del torace, 1997
The measurement of static lung volumes is important for the accurate diagnosis of lung disorders, and when making volume-dependent measurements, such as airways resistance. There are a variety of methods available. The most accurate method is that of constant volume body plethysmography, which provides an estimate of total lung capacity regardless of ...

A Human Kidney Tubuloid Model of Repeated Cisplatin‐Induced Cellular Senescence and Fibrosis for Drug Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Replicating aging and senescence‐related pathophysiological responses in kidney organoids remains a significant challenge. Human adult renal tubular organoid, tubuloids, are successfully developed recapitulating cellular senescence that is the central pathophysiological mechanism of chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Photoactivated Proximity Protein Labeling Reveals Enhanced Tumor Retention of a D‐Peptide‐Ruthenium Prodrug Conjugate

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Six stereoisomeric ruthenium‐peptide conjugates were synthesized and characterized, which showed high potential in photoactivated chemotherapy (PACT) and proximity protein labeling. Abstract Amino acid chirality is known to influence the biological properties of peptide‐containing prodrugs.
