A flexible electrode loaded with a carbon nanowire network (CC@C‐NWN) is developed for electrochemically generating reactive chlorine species (RCS) from abundant chloride ions in body fluids for tumor therapy. CC@C‐NWN enhances chlorine evolution, inducing redox dysregulation and synergistic apoptosis‐ferroptosis in tumor cells.

CLDN18.2 CAR‐T cell‐derived small extracellular vesicles (CAR‐sEVs) display potent cytotoxicity and prolong survival in preclinical pancreatic cancer models. They contain functional CAR proteins and granzyme B, exhibit antigen specificity, and effectively target tumor cells while sparing healthy cells.

Dendrimer Conjugates with PD‐L1‐Binding Peptides Enhance In Vivo Antitumor Immune Response
In this paper, a novel nanoparticle scaffold composed of dendrimers conjugated with peptide‐based immune checkpoint inhibitors, enhancing drug delivery efficacy is introduced. By conjugating PD‐L1‐binding peptides to dendrimers, multivalent binding effects are harnessed, resulting in enhanced binding affinity, prolonged half‐life, and improved ...

Lung volume determinations (tidal volume, inspiratory capacity, inspiratory reserve volume, expiratory reserve volume, vital capacity, maximum breathing capacity, functional residual capacity, residual volume, and total lung capacity) were carried out on 16 professional singers and 21 subjects who had had no professional vocal training. No differences

Lung volume measurements always determine total lung capacity (TLC), and most measurement techniques also determine functional residual capacity (FRC) and residual volume (RV). These measurements are needed less often than spirometry-derived values and require somewhat more difficult methods than required by spirometry.

Effects of lung volume, volume history, and methacholine on lung tissue viscance
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1989We examined the effects of lung volume change and volume history on lung resistance (RL) and its components before and during induced constriction. Eleven subjects, including three current and four former asthmatics, were studied. RL, airway resistance (Raw), and, by subtraction, tissue viscance (Vtis) were measured at different lung volumes before ...

The respiratory system is an elastic structure changing volume when pressures are generated by inspiratory or expiratory muscles. If the muscles are relaxed the respiratory system returns to its relaxation volume (Vr) (referred to in the pediatric literature as the elastic equilibrium volume [EEV]), which in normal subjects is the end-expired volume or

Bronchoscopic lung volume reduction
Multimedia Manual of Cardio-Thoracic Surgery, 2007Emphysema is a debilitating lung disease continuing to be a major source of morbidity and mortality in the developed countries. Medical treatment is the mainstay of therapy and consists of smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, administration of bronchodilators and, when indicated, steroids and supplemental oxygen.

Lung volume, closing volume, and gas exchange
Journal of Applied Physiology, 1982The effect of a voluntary reduction in lung volume on arterial O2 saturation (SaO2) was studied in 10 normal subjects aged 19–63 yr. SaO2 was measured by ear oximetry first during tidal breathing at functional residual capacity, and then during tidal breathing at 380 ml above residual volume.
