Efficacy of Vitex pseudo‐negundo in a Bovine Mastitis Model Experimentally Induced by Staphylococcus aureus in Rats

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
This study evaluated the therapeutic efficacy of Vitex pseudo‐negundo (VPN) extracts in a Staphylococcus aureus‐induced mastitis rat model. Following extraction with water, methanol and petroleum ether, in vitro MICs were determined. Rats established with mastitis received 5‐day treatments.

Zein/luteolin microparticles formation using a supercritical fluids assisted technique

open access: yes, 2019
In this work, a supercritical-based process, named Supercritical Assisted Injection in a Liquid Antisolvent (SAILA), has been proposed for the entrapment of an antioxidant, luteolin, in zein microparticles.

Exploring Diverse Glycone Preferences of Aspergillus rutinosidases

open access: yesAdvanced Synthesis &Catalysis, Volume 368, Issue 11, 3 June 2026.
Rutinosidases from Aspergillus niger (AnRut) and A. oryzae (AoRut) catalyze hydrolysis and transglycosylation with non‐natural glycosides as donors, enabling glycosylation of alcoholic and phenolic acceptors. AnRut exhibits broad glycone promiscuity, while AoRut has a narrower substrate scope.

Direct binding between luteolin and E6.

open access: yes, 2013
(A) In this SPR experiment, E6 was immobilized while luteolin was flowed through the cell. (B) SPR competition experiments using immobilized E6 ligand (E6apc2 peptide) competing for binding E6 protein (20 μM, pH 8) with various concentrations of luteolin.

Natural Products as Geroprotective Modulators in Diabetic Nephropathy: A Mechanistic Framework Integrating Aging Hallmarks and the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 Axis

open access: yesAging and Cancer, Volume 7, Issue 2, Page 52-66, June 2026.
Natural products target the aging kidney in diabetic nephropathy by restoring the AMPK–SIRT1–Nrf2 axis, reducing oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and cellular senescence while enhancing mitochondrial biogenesis and antioxidant defenses.

Luteolin exhibits selective cytotoxicity towards tumorigenic cells and induces apoptosis.

open access: yes, 2014
(A), The effects of luteolin on cell viability of tumorigenic (HeLa and U2OS) and non-tumorigenic (BEAS-2B and HEK293A) cell lines. Cells were treated with indicated concentration of luteolin for 24 hours.

Exploring the Potential of Zero‐Dimensional Carbon Nanomaterials in Photoluminescent, Electrochemiluminescent and Electrochemical Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, Volume 13, Issue 11, 9 June 2026.
Zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials are presented as multifunctional platforms linking structure, property, and sensing performance. Surface engineering and heteroatom doping modulate electron‐transfer and luminescent behavior, enabling electrochemical, photoluminescent, and electrochemiluminescent detection. Fundamental design principles, analytical

Decoding Aquaculture's Future: A Review of Molecular Docking and Simulation in Enhancing Growth and Disease Resistance

open access: yesAquaculture, Fish and Fisheries, Volume 6, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aquaculture has overtaken capture fisheries as the main source of aquatic animal protein, marking a critical step in global food security. Yet, rapid intensification faces major challenges, including disease outbreaks, environmental degradation, and dependence on wild‐caught fish for feed.
