Morphometric analysis of postnatal lung development in the gray short‐tailed opossum (Monodelphis domestica): An ultrastructural study

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 11, Page 3397-3415, November 2026.
Abstract An ultrastructural morphometric analysis of the postnatal development of the lung in the gray short‐tailed opossum (Monodelphis domestica) has been conducted to evaluate the morphofunctional status of this poorly developed marsupial lung immediately following parturition.

Associations Between Parity and Parasympathetic Regulation in Response to Infant Crying

open access: yesDevelopmental Psychobiology, Volume 68, Issue 6, November 2026.
ABSTRACT Research suggests that women's parasympathetic response to infant crying reflects regulation of arousal and is associated with caregiving behaviors. In particular, respiratory sinus arrhythmia (RSA) withdrawal in response to infant cry stimuli has been associated with maternal sensitivity.

Bonding Pretreatment of Aesthetic Dental CAD-CAM Materials through Surface Etching with a Mixed Aqueous Solution of Ammonium Fluoride and Ammonium Hydrogen Sulfate

open access: yesJournal of Functional Biomaterials
Hydrofluoric acid (HF) is commonly used as an etchant for the pretreatment of dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) materials, such as glass-ceramics and resin composites. Despite its effectiveness, the harmful and hazardous

Integrated Reproductive and Cytogenetic Assessment of Infertility in a Captive Jaguar (Panthera onca)

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 6, November 2026.
Integrated reproductive and cytogenetic assessment of infertility in a captive jaguar pair identified normal chromosomal status in both individuals, whereas impaired semen quality in the male likely represents a major limiting factor for reproductive success under the observed conditions.

Marginal Seating of Zirconium Monolithic Crown Restorations Utilising Different Types of Luting Agents - A Comparative Study

open access: yesIndian Journal of Dental Research
Background: Marginal adaptation plays a critical role in the clinical success of ceramic inlays, and several factors, including the type and composition of luting cement, can influence the marginal fit and overall integrity of restorations.

Disorder of sexual development in a Holstein Friesian calf: Clinical, genetic, MRI and pathological findings

open access: yesVeterinary Record Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 4, November 2026.
Abstract A 25‐day‐old Holstein Friesian singleton calf was presented with ambiguous external genitalia suggestive of a disorder of sexual development (DSD). Clinical examination revealed an abnormally positioned urogenital orifice caudal to the mammary complexes, with a palpable tubular structure resembling a hypoplastic penis.

Sex differences in the prefrontal cortex and muscle oxygenation during exercise until exhaustion in endurance‐trained individuals

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, Volume 111, Issue 11, Page 5136-5153, 1 November 2026.
Abstract figure legend During cardiopulmonary exercise testing, the decline in oxygenation in the prefrontal cortex of women is striking. This crucial brain area is directly involved in planning motor tasks. The decline is particularly pronounced at higher exercise intensities, especially after reaching the respiratory compensation point or anaerobic ...

From Dysbiosis to Disease: How Vaginal Microbiota Shape Group B Streptococcus Pathogenesis

open access: yesChemBioChem, Volume 27, Issue 20, 28 October 2026.
Lactobacillus crispatus plays a critical role in the vaginal microbiome. Limiting glucose shifts metabolism toward HMO consumption and amino acid metabolism. These actions enable alkali production and competition. Homeostasis, characterized by dense Lactobacilli colonization and suppression of pathogens, provides resistance to dysbiosis.
