Niobium silicate as a filler for an experimental photopolymerizable luting agent

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontic Research, 2021
To synthesize niobium silicate particles (SiNb) and incorporate into resin-based luting agents.SiNb particles were synthesized and characterized by x-ray diffraction, FTIR spectroscopy, particle size, and specific surface area. Luting agents were formulated with 50 wt% BisGMA, 30 wt% TEGDMA and 20 wt% UDMA.

Influence of Different Luting Agents on the Marginal Discrepancy of Procera® AllCeram Alumina Crown Copings – An Experimental Study

open access: yesActa Medica, 2008
Two maxillary first molars and two central incisor typhodont teeth were prepared with 0.8 mm chamfer, 2.0 mm occlusal reduction, and 6 degree taper. The prepared teeth were duplicated 9 times to obtain 36 die stone models and divided into three groups (n

Evaluation of the onset of failure under mechanical and thermal stresses on luting agent for metal-ceramic and metal crowns by finite element analysis

open access: yesContemporary Clinical Dentistry, 2010
Long-term clinical failures of cemented prosthesis depend, to a large extent, on the integrity of the luting agent. The causative factors that lead to microfracture and, hence, failure of the luting agents are the stresses acting inside the oral cavity ...

Natural Resistance to Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome in Estrildid Finches Reveals Macrophage GPR183 as a Potential Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Ovarian macrophage depletion reverses OHSS resistance in estrildid finches and exacerbates OHSS symptoms in rats. Activating macrophage GPR183 alleviates OHSS by reducing pro‐inflammatory factors, increasing immunomodulatory molecules, remodeling CD44/SDC4‐mediated communication, and restoring immune homeostasis.

Improving retention of dental veneers fabricated from an experimental enamel-based biopolymer compared with CAD/CAM hybrid materials

open access: yesHeliyon, 2023
Objectives: CAD/CAM hybrid materials have become increasingly utilized in restorative dentistry. However, their low tensile bond strength (TBS) may lead to the detachment of minimally invasive restorations.

Properties of Commercially Available Luting Agents.

open access: yesNihon Hotetsu Shika Gakkai Zasshi, 1995
The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare the mechanical properties, water sorption and solubility and shear bond strengths of eight commercially available luting agents to silver-palladiumcopper-gold (Ag-Pd-Cu-Au) dental alloy. Five adhesive resin cements, Bistite Resin Cement, Imperva Dual, Panavia EX, Panavia 21 and Super-Bond C & B and ...
