[Solubility of luting cements].
Archivio stomatologico, 1990An extensive review of the scientific literature for evaluating the current status of luting cements solubility. Both in vitro and in vivo results have been examined and discussed.

Conversion of dual cure luting cements
Journal of Oral Rehabilitation, 1995summary This investigation determined the efficiency and rate of cure of polymeric luting agents when cured under manufacturers' instructions with the appropriate visible light source, and under conditions where light was excluded and curing was reliant on the chemical reaction only.

Degradation of Luting Cements Measured in vitro
Journal of Dental Research, 1982The degradation of luting cements was made visible and measurable when these cements were held as a cement layer, The degradation process, which is mostly a sequence of absorption disintegration and solution, could be expressed in a time-constant (r).

The influence of temporary cements on dental adhesive systems for luting cementation
Journal of Dentistry, 2011This study tested the hypothesis that bond strength of total- and self-etching adhesive systems to dentine is not affected by the presence of remnants from either eugenol-containing (EC) or eugenol-free (EF) temporary cements after standardized cleaning procedures.Thirty non-carious human third molars were polished flat to expose dentine surfaces ...

Fracture toughness of resin-based luting cements
The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2000The introduction of resin-modified glass ionomer cements has expanded the choices of luting cements available to the clinician; however, few independent studies are available on the fracture toughness of the currently available resin-modified glass ionomer luting agents compared with the composite cements. This investigation evaluated the relative ...

Evaluation of the Radiopacity of Luting Cements by Digital Radiography
Journal of Prosthodontics, 2012AbstractPurposeThe aim of this study was to evaluate the radiopacity of eight contemporary luting cements using direct digital radiography.Materials and MethodsTen specimens, (5 mm diameter, 1 mm high) were prepared for each material tested (RelyX ARC, RelyX U100, RelyX Unicem, Nexus 2, Nexus 3, Metacem, Breeze, Adhesor zinc phosphate).

Optimal cement space for resin luting cements.
The International journal of prosthodontics, 1994Stainless steel dies, simulating 0 to 80 microns of die spacing, were seated into a machined brass crown with Phosphacap, Panavia EX, and C & B Metabond. The seating discrepancy after 60 seconds was measured to determine the optimal cement space for best seating for each agent.

[Pulp toxicity of luting cements].
Deutsche zahnarztliche Zeitschrift, 1991With the aid of laser-Doppler-flowmetry we are able to determine changes in the microcirculation of the tooth pulp. This method can also be used for testing the histocompatibility of dental materials. The zinkoxiphosphate cement Tenet and the glass ionomer cement Ketac-Cem are examined for tissue tolerance.

[Haemotoxicity of dental luting cements].
Stomatologie der DDR, 1990A glass ionomer luting cement (AquaCem) shows a relatively low haemolytic activity in comparison with two zinc phosphate cements. Especially the initial irritation by this cement is smaller. Although it is possible that AquaCem particularly, in unfavourable cases, may damage the pulpa dentin system; this is due to the slowly decrease of the haemolytic ...
