Lutjanus

open access: yes
Ecological Importance Predator Role Snappers are a staple component of predatory ecosystems within the marine habitat due to their capability to control the preyed species' population. This makes it easier to moderate the populations of small fish hence preserving the conditions of reefs by avoiding overgrazing by algae.
