Impact of tillage on maize rooting in a Cambisol and Luvisol in Switzerland
Soil and Tillage Research, 2006Abstract Soil conditions under no-tillage (NT) are often unfavorable for the growth of maize roots in comparison to conventional tillage (CT). In 1997 and 1999, the impacts of tillage on the morphology and spatial distribution of maize ( Zea mays L.) roots at anthesis were investigated in a 5-year field trial at two sites (loamy silt and sandy loam ...

Iron Redistribution in Three Boralfs (Gray Luvisols) of Saskatchewan
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1986Abstract The transformation and translocation of Fe in three Boralfs (Gray Luvisols) were studied in relation to the Fe contained within silicate minerals and that existing in oxide forms. Quantitative evaluations of the Fe redistribution using a quartz index technique provided conclusive evidence that losses of Fe from E horizons and

[Characteristics of references between GSCC and CST for Semi-Luvisols].
Ying yong sheng tai xue bao = The journal of applied ecology, 2006In this paper, the references between Genetic Soil Classification of China (GSCC) and the Chinese Soil Taxonomy (CST) for GSCC-Semi-Luvisols were conducted, and their quantitative and spatial distribution characteristics within CST were studied, based on the 1 : 1 M Soil Database of China, which consists of 1 : 1 M digital soil map, soils profiles ...

THE REACTION OF TWO LUVISOLIC FOREST SOILS TO PHOSPHATE FERTILIZATION
Canadian Journal of Soil Science, 1977Response of two forested Luvisolic soils to phosphorus fertilization was compared using chemical extractants known to be effective in removing certain soil phosphorus compounds. Fifteen months following fertilization application, the Mercoal series (Bisequa Luvisol) showed total phosphorus decreases in each of the soil horizons or layers sampled.

Variability of the tensiometric datas in the luvisol-redoxisol layers in subirrigation
