Lyapunov Exponents for Surface Group Representations [PDF]
Let (ρ_\la)_{\la\in \La} be a holomorphic family of representations of a surface group π_1(S) into PSL(2,C), where S is a topological (possibly punctured) surface with negative Euler characteristic. Given a structure of Riemann surface of finite type on S we construct a bifurcation current on the parameter space \La, that is a (1,1) positive closed ...

Codes for Approximating Lyapunov Exponents
We present a suite of codes for approximating Lyapunov exponents of nonlinear differential systems by so-called QR methods. The basic solvers perform integration of the trajectory and approximation of the Lyapunov exponents simultaneously.

We computed the Lyapunov spectrum and finite-time Lyapunov exponents of a data-driven model constructed using reservoir computing. This analysis was performed for two dynamics that exhibit a highly dimensionally unstable structure.

Lyapunov Exponents and Sensitive Dependence
Precise relationships between Lyapunov exponents and the instability/stability of orbits of scalar discrete dynamical systems are investigated. It is known that positive Lyapunov exponent does not, in general, imply instability, or, equivalently, sensitive dependence on initial conditions.

Lyapunov exponents, phase transition and chaos bound in Kerr-Newman AdS spacetime
In this paper, we investigate Lyapunov exponents associated with chaotic motions of both massless and massive particles in the vicinity of a Kerr-Newman AdS black hole.

ABSTRACT Networked control systems (NCSs) often suffer from performance degradation due to limited communication bandwidth, which can cause data transmission conflicts and packet loss. Existing scheduling strategies may fail to simultaneously meet the real‐time requirements and the importance of multisensor data, and they are particularly vulnerable ...

Renormalization techniques for inflation systems and some of their applications
In this work, renormalization methods for quantities related to the diffraction of inflation systems are surveyed.Exact renormalization techniques are important and powerful, particularly for inflation‐generated systems. We review recent results in this direction.

Investigation of the applicability of Lyapunov exponents for transient stability assessment
Lyapunov Exponents (LEs) measure the exponential rates of divergence or convergence of nearby trajectories in state-space models. The study presented in this paper investigates the applicability of this concept to power system transient stability ...

Anchor Flow Maps: Efficient Sampling and Approximation of the Entire Flow Map
Abstract Flow maps are a fundamental concept for the visualization and analysis of time‐dependent flows. A common approach is to apply sampling and reconstruction – which comes with a number of problems: flow maps are high‐dimensional functions with locally large gradients which makes approximations very challenging.
