Geometric Approach to Lyapunov Analysis in Hamiltonian Dynamics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
As is widely recognized in Lyapunov analysis, linearized Hamilton's equations of motion have two marginal directions for which the Lyapunov exponents vanish.

Controlling Dynamical Systems Into Unseen Target States Using Machine Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Parameter‐aware next‐generation reservoir computing enables efficient, data‐driven control of dynamical systems across unseen target states and nonstationary transitions. The approach suppresses transient behavior while navigating system collapse scenarios with minimal training data—over an order of magnitude less than traditional methods.

Computational Issues in Nonlinear Dynamical Systems: Creating Bifurcation Diagrams of Lyapunov Exponents Using a Novel Adaptive Approach

open access: yesIEEE Access
Nonlinear dynamical systems with oscillatory (periodic, quasi-periodic and chaotic) responses are analyzed in this paper through the method of Lyapunov exponents.

CHAOTIC VIBRATION OF BUCKLED BEAMS AND PLATES [PDF]

open access: yesINCAS Bulletin, 2009
The great developing of numerical analysis of the dynamic systems emphasizes the existence of astrong dependence of the initial conditions, described in the phase plane by attractors with acomplicated geometrical structure.

Complexity Analysis of Bubble Plumes in Power Law Fluids Based on Chaos Theory

open access: yesAsia-Pacific Journal of Chemical Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In order to reveal the complexity of the internal flow of bubble plume in power law fluid, the flow characteristics and chaotic characteristics of plume are studied by experiment and theory. The chaotic characteristic parameters (correlation dimension D, K entropy, and Lyapunov exponent λ) of gas velocity under different superficial gas ...

Lyapunov instability for a periodic Lorentz gas thermostated by deterministic scattering

open access: yes, 2001
In recent work a deterministic and time-reversible boundary thermostat called thermostating by deterministic scattering has been introduced for the periodic Lorentz gas [Phys. Rev. Lett. {\bf 84}, 4268 (2000)].
