The Synchronisation Problem of Chaotic Neural Networks Based on Saturation Impulsive Control and Intermittent Control

open access: yesMathematics
This paper primarily focuses on the chaos synchronisation analysis of neural networks (NNs) under a hybrid controller. Firstly, we design a suitable hybrid controller with saturated impulse control, combined with time-dependent intermittent control. Both

PID‐Like Robust Control of Non‐Minimum Phase Robotic Manipulators

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 8, Page 4490-4503, 25 May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes an output‐feedback tracking controller for non‐minimum phase nonlinear systems with unknown uncertainties and external disturbances, where not all states are measurable, and the zero dynamics are unstable. The approach combines a backstepping‐based stabilizing state‐feedback law with a cascade extended high‐gain observer ...

Neural Network‐Based Adaptive Super‐Twisting Control for Perturbed Nonlinear Systems: Lyapunov Design

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 8, Page 4717-4728, 25 May 2026.
ABSTRACT A newly developed robust control strategy based on an adaptive neural network (ANN) estimator performed in concert with adaptive super‐twisting (ASTW) control is presented. The proposed adaptive robust control algorithm is applied to a class of perturbed nonlinear systems and features a significantly decreased control gain with respect to the ...

Output Feedback Design for Parameter Varying Systems Subject to Persistent Disturbances and Control Rate Constraints

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 7, Page 4219-4233, 10 May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper develops a framework for designing output feedback controllers for constrained linear parameter‐varying systems that experience persistent disturbances. We specifically propose an incremental parameter‐varying output feedback control law to address control rate constraints, as well as state and control amplitude constraints.

Comparative Analysis of the Performances of a Nonlinear Observer and Nonlinear Kalman Filters in the Presence of Non‐Gaussian Disturbances

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Volume 36, Issue 7, Page 3896-3913, 10 May 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper focuses on state estimation for a fairly general class of systems, involving nonlinear functions and disturbances in both the process dynamics and output equations. A nonlinear observer that satisfies a H∞$$ {\boldsymbol{H}}_{\boldsymbol{\infty}} $$ disturbance attenuation constraint in addition to providing asymptotic stability in ...

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 40, Issue 5, Page 1029-1041, May 2026.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

ON LYAPUNOV TYPE FINITE DIFFERENCE INEQUALITY

open access: yesTamkang Journal of Mathematics, 1990
Lyapunov type finite difference inequality is established which in the special case yields implicit lower bound on the distance between consecutive zeros of a nontrivial solution of a second order linear finite difference equation.

Change Point Analysis for Functional Data Using Empirical Characteristic Functionals

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, Volume 47, Issue 3, Page 612-631, May 2026.
ABSTRACT We develop a new method to detect change points in the distribution of functional data based on integrated CUSUM processes of empirical characteristic functionals. Asymptotic results are presented under conditions allowing for low‐order moments and serial dependence in the data establishing the limiting null‐distribution of the proposed test ...

Efficient Energy‐Stable Discontinuous Galerkin Scheme for the Non‐Isothermal Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes Two‐Phase Fluid Flow System

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering, Volume 127, Issue 7, 15 April 2026.
ABSTRACT In this article, we propose a novel numerical framework for the non‐isothermal Cahn–Hilliard–Navier–Stokes two‐phase flow system, which couples the incompressible Navier–Stokes equations, the Cahn–Hilliard phase‐field equation, and the heat transport equation to capture temperature‐dependent two‐phase flow dynamics.

Hartman and Lyapunov Inequalities

open access: yes
This undergraduate thesis addresses the Hartman and Lyapunov inequalities for second-order linear differential equations. First, the Green's function method for solving linear differential equations satisfying Dirichlet boundary conditions is comprehensively explained, and the integral forms of the solutions are obtained through this method.
