Sliding Mode Control in Aerospace Applications: A Survey

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sliding mode control (SMC) enjoys robustness to matched and unmatched (in the case of minimum phase input‐output dynamics) bounded perturbations, and finite time convergence. Second‐order and higher‐order sliding mode control systems (2‐SMC/HOSMC) retain all the advantages of sliding mode control, but in addition can be applied to systems of ...

Lyapunov′s Type Inequalities for Fourth‐Order Differential Equations [PDF]

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
For a fourth‐order differential equation, we will establish some new Lyapunov‐type inequalities, which give lower bounds of the distance between zeros of a nontrivial solution and also lower bounds of the distance between zeros of a solution and/or its derivatives.

Safe Stabilization Using Non‐Smooth Control Lyapunov Barrier Function

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper addresses the challenge of safe stabilization, ensuring the system state reaches the origin while avoiding unsafe state regions. Existing approaches that rely on smooth Lyapunov barrier functions often fail to guarantee a feasible controller. To overcome this limitation, we introduce the non‐smooth control Lyapunov barrier function (

Lyapunov-Type Inequalities for Conformable BVP

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics and Physics, 2018
In this paper, we present Lyapunov-type inequality for conformable BVP with the conformable fractional derivative of order 1≤2 and 2≤3 with corresponding boundary conditions. We obtain the Lyapunov-type inequality by a construction Green’s function and get its corresponding maximum value.

Inequalities of Lyapunov and Stolarsky Type for Choquet-Like Integrals with respect to Nonmonotonic Fuzzy Measures

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, 2019
The aim of this paper is to generalize the Choquet-like integral with respect to a nonmonotonic fuzzy measure for generalized real-valued functions and set-valued functions, which is based on the generalized pseudo-operations and σ-⊕-measures ...

Measured‐State Conditioned Recursive Feasibility for Stochastic Model Predictive Control

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In this paper, we address the problem of designing stochastic model predictive control (SMPC) schemes for linear systems affected by unbounded disturbances. The contribution of the paper is rooted in a measured‐state initialization strategy. First, due to the nonzero probability of violating chance‐constraints in the case of unbounded noise ...

The role of identification in data‐driven policy iteration: A system theoretic study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, EarlyView.
Abstract The goal of this article is to study fundamental mechanisms behind so‐called indirect and direct data‐driven control for unknown systems. Specifically, we consider policy iteration applied to the linear quadratic regulator problem. Two iterative procedures, where data collected from the system are repeatedly used to compute new estimates of ...

Lower bounds for eigenvalues of the one-dimensional p-Laplacian

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2004
We present sharp lower bounds for eigenvalues of the one-dimensional p-Laplace operator. The method of proof is rather elementary, based on a suitable generalization of the Lyapunov inequality.

Enhancing generalized spectral clustering with embedding Laplacian graph regularization

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
Abstract An enhanced generalised spectral clustering framework that addresses the limitations of existing methods by incorporating the Laplacian graph and group effect into a regularisation term is presented. By doing so, the framework significantly enhances discrimination power and proves highly effective in handling noisy data.

Further Results on the Input-to-State Stability of a Linear Disturbed System with Control Delay

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, a theorem is obtained that gives sufficient input-to-state stability conditions for linear systems with control delay and additive disturbances. Stabilizing feedback is considered available in the absence of delay and disturbances.
