Output‐feedback Lyapunov redesign of uncertain systems with delayed measurements
AbstractThis paper presents an output‐feedback Lyapunov redesign for uncertain systems with the delayed measurements, which recasts the state estimation and robust control into a unified framework. Instead of the traditional observer/differentiator‐based output‐feedback design, a static state estimator is constructed by the Taylor expansion of delayed ...

Three-Dimensional Optimal Guidance with Lyapunov Redesign for UAV Interception
Three-dimensional guidance laws are designed to intercept non-maneuvering targets and maneuvering targets in this paper. An optimal control approach with constant or time-variant feedback gain is proposed for interception. The cost function is designed with considerations on energy-efficiency and time-efficiency in the transient process.

Lyapunov Redesign of Analog Phase-Lock Loops
In general, the design of phase-lock loops has been done by a combination of linear analysis, phase plane plots, rule of thumb, and simulation. Very few analytical tools have been used to determine the stability of the nonlinear models used for these devices.

The steering control of vehicle dynamics via a Lyapunov redesign approach
In this paper, Lyapunov redesign method is proposed to control the steering of vehicle. It was observed in Liaw and Chung (2006) that the vehicle dynamics would exhibit the saddle-node bifurcation phenomenon at some front wheel steering angle. This might result in spin and/or instability for vehicle system.

Lyapunov redesign for direct adaptive control of nonminimum phase systems
The authors propose a novel direct model reference adaptive pole placement control algorithm which can be applied to continuous-time nonminimum phase systems. The algorithm is based on Lyapunov's direct method. In this scheme, an adaptive error model for the continuous-time nonminimum phase systems is derived and an estimation law for the estimation of

A swarming behavior problem is investigated in this article for heterogeneous uncertain agents with cooperation-competition interactions. In such a problem, the agents are described by second-order continuous systems with different intrinsic nonlinear terms, which satisfies the "linearity-in-parameters" condition, and the agents' models are coupled ...

Robust Nonlinear Control of Electric Power Steering System Based on Lyapunov Redesign
Based on the dynamic characteristics of EPS, whole vehicle and tire, the dynamic equation of the EPS system was established. The Krasovk’s method was used to obtian the candidate Lyapunov function for the EPS system. A nonlinear control for EPS system considering parameter uncertainty was presented by Lyapunov redesign approach.

Lyapunov redesign for structural convergence improvement in adaptive control
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1990The relative improvement of the convergence rate in adaptive error models is discussed. It is shown how to improve convergence, positive realness, and robustness by modifying the structure of the error model. The proposed approaches to designing adaptive control algorithms using the Lyapunov method not only improve the rate of convergence but also ...
