Lyapunov stability theory of nonsmooth systems [PDF]
Summary: This paper develops nonsmooth Lyapunov stability theory and LaSalle's invariance principle for a class of nonsmooth Lipschitz continuous Lyapunov functions and absolutely continuous state trajectories. Computable tests based on Filipov's differential inclusion and Clarke's generalized gradient are derived.

Morse theory and Lyapunov stability on manifolds [PDF]
The aim of this article is to recall the main theorems of Morse theory and to infer some corollaries for the problem of Lyapunov stability on manifolds. It makes a link between Morse theory and the general theory of the Lyapunov stability for dynamical systems.

Lyapunov stability in an evolutionary game theory model of the labour market [PDF]
AbstractIn this paper the existence and stability of equilibriums in an evolutionary game theory model of the labour market is studied by using the Lyapunov method. The model displays multiple equilibriums and it is shown that the Nash equilibriums of the static game are evolutionary stable equilibrium in the game theory evolutionary set up. A complete

A Novel Fractional-Order System: Chaos, Hyperchaos and Applications to Linear Control [PDF]
Chaos and hyperchaos are generated from a new fractional-order system. Local stability of the system’s three equilibria is analyzed when the fractional parameter belongs to (0,2].

Aleksandr Lyapunov, the man who created the modern theory of stability [PDF]
The outstanding Russian mathematician Aleksandr M. Lyapunov passed away one hundred years ago, on November 6, 1918. Honouring his memory, we recall the main events of his life when he was a student, then from the years in Saint Petersburg until 1885 ...

Design of Distributed Interval Observers for Multiple Euler–Lagrange Systems
This paper investigates the problem of distributed interval estimation for multiple Euler–Lagrange systems. An interconnection topology is supposed to be strongly connected.
