Lyapunov stability theory based complex valued adaptive filter design
2014 22nd Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2014In this study, a novel complex valued adaptive filter algorithm is proposed satisfying stability in the sense of Lyapunov. The prediction capability of the proposed algorithm is presented by using complex valued autoregressive process and wind signal in the literature.

Lyapunov Functions in Stability Theory of Nonlinear Difference Delay Equations
Differential Equations, 2002Using the direct Lyapunov method, the author obtains sufficient conditions for uniform asymptotic stability and for instability of the zero solution to the following nonlinear difference equation \[ x(k+1)-x(k)=f(k,x[k]), \quad k= \sigma ,\sigma +1,\dots, \] where \(x=(x_1,x_2,\dots,x_n),\) the function \(f:{\mathbb Z}\times {\mathfrak M}_p\rightarrow {

The Glansdorff-Prigogine thermodynamic stability criterion in the light of Lyapunov's theory
Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1975The Glansdorff-Prigogine stability criterion is examined in the light of Lyapunov's theory of stability. It is found that its application to the study of stability of steady states far from equilibrium is sound, although in general the criterion is expected to leave a large region of undertermined stability when used to delimit the stability domain in ...

Lyapunov Stability Theory Based Control of Uncertain Dynamical Systems
1994Summary: We present a controller design methodology for uncertain systems which is based on the constructive use of Lyapunov stability theory. The uncertainties, which are deterministic, are characterized by certain structural conditions and known as well as unknown bounds. As a consequence of the Lyapunov approach, the methodology is not restricted to
