Abstract Rehamnia michardis Oukassou and Naugolnykh, gen. et sp. nov. is described from the Late Famennian of the Foum El Mejez area (Northern Rehamna, Moroccan Meseta). This is the first record of Late Devonian plant from the Rehamna Hercynian massif .

Abstract Microspore and megaspore development in Isoetes japonica was studied using light, scanning electron and transmission electron microscopy. Differences in cytokinesis following meiosis result in monolete microspores with bilateral symmetry, and trilete megaspores with radial symmetry.
