Abstract Spotted lanternfly (Lycorma delicatula, Hemiptera: Fulgoridae) is a planthopper native to China and southeastern Asia invasive in North America. To inform risk assessment of northward spread, we determined cold tolerance strategy and lower lethal limits of overwintering eggs.
