A Group of Colony Iconium Coins Belonging to the Roman Period in the Region of Lykaonia
2018Iconium is the center of today's Konya province. The city entered into the domination of Rome with the formation of Asia State by Augustus as a result of the death of Amyntas from Galatia in 25 BC. During the Augustus period, the city was exposed to colonization activities. Iconium City became a complete Roman colony in the Hadrian period.
