Lymph Node Metastasis in Medulloblastoma

A 14-year-old boy was diagnosed as having a medulloblastoma in the posterior fossa. Radiation therapy was given and the patient made a good recovery. Three months later he presented with supraclavicular lymph node metastasis, in the absence of other foci of metastases. He was treated with 60Co and the metastasis decreased.

Lymph node metastasis of osteosarcomas

Lymph node metastasis of osteosarcomas is a rather rare phenomenon; according to different authors, the incidence of lymph node metastasis is 4 to 11%. The detection of lymph node metastases in osteosarcoma is associated with a significant reduction in the 5-year survival of patients and allows its classification as clinical stage IV tumor.

Rectal adenocarcinoid with lymph node metastasis

We describe a case of a rare variant of a rectal carcinoid tumor that showed mucous gland differentiation accompanied by a lymph node metastasis with a histological appearance similar to that of the primary site. The tumor consisted of a typical argyrophilic carcinoid component and of goblet cell glands.
