Mapping of Lymph Node Metastasis From Esophagogastric Junction Tumors

Annals of Surgery, 2019
Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the optimal extent of lymph node dissection for the 2 histological types of esophagogastric junction (EGJ) tumors based on the incidence of metastasis in a prospective nationwide multicenter study ...

Lymph node metastasis of osteosarcomas

Arkhiv patologii, 2016
Lymph node metastasis of osteosarcomas is a rather rare phenomenon; according to different authors, the incidence of lymph node metastasis is 4 to 11%. The detection of lymph node metastases in osteosarcoma is associated with a significant reduction in the 5-year survival of patients and allows its classification as clinical stage IV tumor.

Rectal adenocarcinoid with lymph node metastasis

Pathology International, 1999
We describe a case of a rare variant of a rectal carcinoid tumor that showed mucous gland differentiation accompanied by a lymph node metastasis with a histological appearance similar to that of the primary site. The tumor consisted of a typical argyrophilic carcinoid component and of goblet cell glands.

Biliary Tract Cancer at CT: A Radiomics-based Model to Predict Lymph Node Metastasis and Survival Outcomes.

Radiology, 2019
Purpose To evaluate a radiomics model for predicting lymph node (LN) metastasis in biliary tract cancers (BTCs) and to determine its prognostic value for disease-specific and recurrence-free survival. Materials and Methods For this retrospective study, a

Artificial intelligence predicts lymph node metastasis or risk of lymph node metastasis in T1 colorectal cancer

International Journal of Clinical Oncology, 2022
The treatment strategies for colorectal cancer (CRC) must ensure a radical cure of cancer and prevent over/under treatment. Biopsy specimens used for the definitive diagnosis of T1 CRC were analyzed using artificial intelligence (AI) to construct a risk index for lymph node metastasis.A total of 146 T1 CRC cases were analyzed.

Erythropoietin Induces Lymph Node Lymphangiogenesis and Lymph Node Tumor Metastasis

Cancer Research, 2011
Abstract Cancer therapy often produces anemia, which is treated with erthropoietin (EPO) to stimulate erythrocyte production. However, concerns have recently arisen that EPO treatment may promote later tumor metastasis and mortality. The mechanisms underlying such effects are unknown, but it is clear that EPO has pleiotropic effects in ...

Lymph flow and lymph node metastasis in esophageal cancer

Surgery Today, 1995
This paper delineates which lymph nodes should be dissected due to the high frequency of metastasis associated with different types of primarily lesions of the thoracic esophagus. In cancer involving the upper third of the esophagus (Iu), lymph flow was found to be primary from the superior mediastinal area to the cervical area; in that involving the ...

Diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced computed tomography for assessment of mandibular and medial retropharyngeal lymph node metastasis in dogs with oral and nasal cancer.

Veterinary and Comparative Oncology, 2018
The diagnostic accuracy of contrast-enhanced CT for detection of cervical lymph node metastasis in dogs is unknown. The purpose of this retrospective, observational, diagnostic accuracy study was to assess the efficacy of CT for detection of mandibular ...

INVASIVE CARCINOMA OF THE VULVA WITH LYMPH NODE METASTASIS

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1966
Abstract The subject of lymph node metastasis in invasive carcinoma of the vulva is presented from an evaluation of 23 years' experience by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Tulane University School of Medicine. The clinical and histopathologic features of the evaluation and a discussion relating the significance of these features are ...
