Giant pancreatic cystic lymphangioma

A giant cystic lymphangioma in the pancreatic body-tail was diagnosed as an incidental ultrasound mass in a 41-year-old patient, with a progressive size that had increased in the last year by about 20 cm size. An ultrasound guided fine needle puncture was performed and the result was a benign cystic lesion.

Mediastinal lymphangioma is a rare vascular neoplasm, accounting for 0.7 to 4.5% of all the mediastinum tumors. It is a benign tumor, generally occur- ring as a mediastinal mass of slow growth. Most patients are asymptomatic, being incidentally diagnosed after a routine chest radiograph.

ABSTRACT A rare disorder in females called hydrocele of the canal of Nuck is brought on by the processus vaginalis failing to obliterate. We describe a 13‐year‐old girl who developed a type I hydrocele of the canal of Nuck after presenting with left inguino‐labial swelling. Despite misdiagnosis by ultrasound, surgical exploration verified the diagnosis.
