We report on the very rare case of a 49-year-old man with a large solitary pulmonary lymphangioma. Rapid growth of the tumor led to dyspnea and pain. A chest roentgenogram and computed tomography scan revealed a large 18 x 12-cm space-occupying cystic lesion in the posterior mediastinum. The tumor was resected by lateral thoracotomy.

Cutaneous lymphangiomas from 158 patients were studied clinically and pathologically. Lymphangiomas show a predilection for the neck and axilla, breasts and chest, and buttocks and thighs, but may occur on almost any area of skin. They show highest incidence of onset in infancy, the majority are present by age 5 years, but they may appear spontaneously

Pancreatic Lymphangioma: A Case Report and Literature Review
Journal of computer assisted tomography, 2019We report a case of a 29-year-old woman with a pancreatic lymphangioma who presented clinically as a case of acute pancreatitis. Lymphangiomas are benign tumors of vascular origin with lymphatic differentiation, most commonly found in the head and neck ...

Congenital malformations of the intrascrotal lymphatic system may form cystic masses. A case of a lymphangioma arising in Colles fascia is presented. This rare clinical entity should be included in the differential diagnosis of cystic lesions of the external male genitalia. Total surgical excision is the treatment of choice.

SUMMARYFive cases of retroperitoneal lymphangioma are presented. In three patients the lesions were symptomatic, with resolution of the symptoms following resection. In two elderly patients the lesions were asymptomatic. Ultrasound demonstrated masses that ranged from 4 to 15cm in maximal extent, and which were predominantly anechoic.

Lymphangiomas of the colon are historically rare benign tumors. Only 331 cases have been reported in the world medical literature between 1931 and 2004. With widespread use of colonoscopy, however, they are being found more frequently. We report the case of a 74-year-old woman in whom a colonoscopy revealed a 3 x 4-cm submucosal lesion in the cecum ...

The exact nature of lymphangiomas of the orbit is controversial. Nineteen cases with typical clinical, surgical, and histopathologic findings are presented. These tumors are diffuse, slowly progressive, difficult to remove, and relatively insensitive to irradiation.

AbstractMediastinal lymphangioma is an uncommon benign tumor accounting for 0.7 to 4.5% of all mediastinal masses. Lymphangiomas consist of dilated cystic lymph spaces lined by single layers of endothelium and do not undergo malignant change. Most mediastinal lymphangiomas are asymptomatic. There are no specific radiological findings. Surgical excision

Thoracic lymphangioma is a benign congenital condition that may involve any organ within the chest. Here, a case of intra thoracic isolated extramediastinal lymphangioma is reported. The child had respiratory distress from neonatal period. Surgery completely cured the patient. However, it is only the 3rd reported case in English literature.
