Lymphocytic Thrombophilic Arteritis: A Possible Association with Minocycline

Pediatric Dermatology, 2017
AbstractWe describe a case of lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis in a 15‐year‐old girl who had previously taken minocycline for a year. Cutaneous polyarteritis nodosa and lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis share many features and may both be triggered by minocycline.

Lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis presenting as localized livedo racemosa

Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2011
A 28-year-old Costa Rican woman presented with a 6-year history of an asymptomatic progressive localized livedo racemosa on her limbs. Histological examination revealed a lymphocytic vasculitis targeting the arterioles in the deep dermis. In addition, a distinct hyalinised fibrin ring was noted at the periphery of the vessel lumen.

Lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis: A distinct inflammatory type I interferon and C5b-9 mediated subcutaneous endovasculitis

Annals of Diagnostic Pathology, 2017
Lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis is a recently recognized subcuticular larger vessel vasculitis characterized by striking vascular luminal thrombosis. The clinical features, histopathology and phenotypic profile of ten patients with lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis were explored in an attempt to better define the entity from a clinical and ...

Lymphocytic Thrombophilic Arteritis

JCR: Journal of Clinical Rheumatology, 2019
Abstract Macular lymphocytic arteritis or lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis (LTA) is a recently described cutaneous arteritis that is characterized by asymptomatic macules and patches of the extremities associated with lymphocytic arteritis at the deep dermal/subcuticular junction for which little information exists on demographics ...

Three cases of Sneddon syndrome: A comparison with lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis

Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2020
AbstractLymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis and Sneddon syndrome can have very similar clinical presentations with chronic persistent widespread blanchable livedo racemosa. Lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis has only recently been described and generally is associated with a benign prognosis.

Neuropathy in a patient with lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis

Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2012
ABSTRACTA 35‐year‐old Lebanese woman presented with a 3‐year history of persistent, localized livedo racemosa over her feet, distal legs and forearms that was associated with the development of lower limb sensorimotor neuropathy. Investigations revealed the patient was heterozygous for prothrombin gene mutation and was also found to have a T‐cell ...

Cutaneous arteritis with intimal fibrin ring and immature myeloid cell infiltrate: lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis or histiocytoid polyarteritis nodosa?

Virchows Archiv, 2023
The ongoing debate on whether lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis (LTA) is a separate disease or a type of polyarteritis nodosa (PAN) has yet to be settled. In this study, we analyzed the nature of infiltrating cells in LTA to resolve this controversy.

Three cases of lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis presenting with an annular eruption

Australasian Journal of Dermatology, 2017
AbstractWe describe three patients who presented with a striking erythematous non‐blanching annular eruption and features of lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis (LTA), with a prominent lymphocytic vasculitis involving deep dermal vessels. Lymphocytic inflammation was also evident in the superficial vessels and one patient had small superficial ulcers ...

Cutaneous Lymphocytic Thrombophilic (Macular) Arteritis

The American Journal of Dermatopathology, 2013
Recently, 2 putatively novel clinicopathological entities, macular arteritis (MA) and lymphocytic thrombophilic arteritis (LTA), have been described. Both exhibit an indolent chronic course and erythematous and hyperpigmented macules (MA > LTA) and papules/plaques (LTA > MA), often in a reticulated pattern on the lower limbs.
