Group 2 Innate Lymphoid Cells Are Redundant in Experimental Renal Ischemia-Reperfusion Injury. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Acute kidney injury (AKI) can be fatal and is a well-defined risk factor for the development of chronic kidney disease. Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are innate producers of type-2 cytokines and are critical regulators of homeostasis in ...

Immunosuppressive Formulations for Immunological Defense against Traumatic Brain Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
A novel subcutaneous formulation combining alpha‐ketoglutarate, glycolysis inhibitor PFK15, and a myelin peptide reduces inflammation in a mouse TBI model. This formulation promotes regulatory immune cells, enhances autophagy, and improves motor function, suggesting its potential as a prophylactic immunosuppressive therapy to mitigate TBI‐induced ...

Bilirubin Targeting WNK1 to Alleviate NLRP3‐Mediated Neuroinflammation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
At physiological concentrations, bilirubin binds to the kinase domain of WNK1, thereby augmenting its activity and facilitating the phosphorylation of downstream SPAK/OSR1. This phosphorylation inhibits KCC2 activity, leading to elevate intracellular chloride levels in neurons.

Transcriptional Programs Define Molecular Characteristics of Innate Lymphoid Cell Classes and Subsets

open access: yesNature Immunology, 2015
The recognized diversity of innate lymphoid cells (ILCs) is rapidly expanding. Three ILC classes have emerged, ILC1, ILC2 and ILC3, with ILC1 and ILC3 including several subsets.

Recent Advancements in Lung Cancer Metastasis Prevention Based on Nanostrategies

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metastasis is the leading cause of death in patients with lung cancer. Nanomedicine can be used to prepare efficient drug delivery systems owing to their advantages and plays an important role in the synergistic antimetastasis of lung cancer. This comprehensive review summarizes the emerging nanostrategies against lung cancer metastasis based on the ...

TREATMENT OF HIV-ASSOCIATED BURKITT LYMPHOMA [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Medical Journal Hematology, 2013
Burkitt lymphoma (BL) is a highly aggressive B-cell malignancy, occurring with increased frequency among patients infected with HIV. For several years, the immunocompromised state of HIV-positive patients was advocated as a sufficient reason to avoid the

Increased concentration of an apparently identical cellular protein in cells transformed by either Abelson murine leukemia virus or other transforming agents [PDF]

open access: yes, 1981
Abelson murine leukemia virus (A-MuLV)-transformed cells, simian virus 40 (SV40)-transformed cells, and chemically transformed cells all have increased levels of a 50,000-molecular-weight host cell protein.

Tissue signals imprint ILC2 identity with anticipatory function. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) are distributed systemically and produce type 2 cytokines in response to a variety of stimuli, including the epithelial cytokines interleukin (IL)-25, IL-33, and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP).
