Primary Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma of the Larynx

Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2012
Extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphomas limited to the larynx are rare, accounting for less than 1% of all laryngeal neoplasms. The most common site of development of primary laryngeal lymphomas is the supraglottic region. In most cases, the presenting symptoms are hoarseness, dysphagia, dyspnea, and cervical lymphadenopathy.

MALT Lymphoma (Extranodal Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma)

2013
Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (MALT lymphoma) comprises approximately 8 % of non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. Recurrent karyotype abnormalities, despite involving different genes, appear to affect the same signalling pathway, resulting in the activation of nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB).

Marginal Zone B-Cell Orbital Lymphoma With Intracranial Involvement

Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, 2010
A 40-year-old woman presented to the eye clinic with painless swelling of her right lower eyelid of 2 years' duration. Examination revealed severe loss of vision in the right eye with hypoglobus and exotropia. CT showed a diffuse right orbital infiltrative lesion with extension to the brain parenchyma.

Marginal zone B‐cell lymphoma: A retrospective immunophenotypic analysis

Cytometry Part B: Clinical Cytometry, 2008
AbstractBackground:Marginal zone B‐cell lymphoma (MZL) comprises three related yet biologically distinct subtypes—splenic MZL (SMZL), nodal MZL (NMZL), and extranodal MZL of MALT type (MALT). In cases without adequate morphology, immunophenotypic characterization by flow cytometric immunophenotyping (FCI) relies heavily on exclusion of other low‐grade ...

Splenic marginal zone B cell lymphoma

1999
The entity of splenic marginal zone lymphoma was listed originally in the REAL classification as a provisional entity but it is rapidly gaining full membership of the club. The histologic features which define it are listed [7.1].

Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphomas Including Mucosa-Associated Lymphoid Tissue Type Lymphoma (MALT), Monocytoid B-Cell Lymphoma and Splenic Marginal Zone Cell Lymphoma and Their Relation to the Reactive Marginal Zone

Leukemia & Lymphoma, 1997
The marginal zone of the B follicle represents a well-defined compartment of the B area. Its cellular composition is distinct from that of the follicle centre, from which it also differs in its functional role in the immune response. Several newly identified lymphoma entities, e.g.

Nodal monocytoid B-cell lymphoma (nodal marginal-zone B-cell lymphoma).

Seminars in hematology, 1999
Benign monocytoid B cells are seen in lymph nodes in different types of lymphadenitis and they occur in the form of clusters within and around sinuses and in the interfollicular areas, but rarely completely surround benign follicles to produce a marginal-zone pattern.

Marginal Zone B-cell lymphoma - updated

2006
Disease Marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (MZBCL), including three distinct clinicopathological forms (Harris et al, 1999), namely: 1- extra-nodal MZBCL of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue ( MALT) type, 2- splenic MZBCL, corresponding to splenic lymphoma with villous lymphocytes (SLVL) 3- nodal MZBCL Phenotype / cell stem origin The morphologic and ...

Primary Cutaneous Marginal Zone B-Cell Lymphoma

2019
Primary cutaneous marginal zone B-cell lymphoma is an indolent skin lymphoma composed of small B cells, including marginal zone (centrocyte-like) cells, lymphoplasmacytoid cells, and plasma cells, admixed with small numbers of centroblast- or immunoblast-like cells and many reactive T cells. Reactive germinal centers are frequently observed.
