Transformed follicular lymphoma [PDF]

open access: yesAnnals of Hematology, 2017
Follicular Lymphoma (FL) is the second most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma and is considered to be the prototype of indolent lymphomas. Histologic transformation into an aggressive lymphoma, which is expected to occur at a rate of 2 to 3% each year, is associated with rapid progression, treatment resistance, and poor prognosis.

Follicular lymphomas

Critical Reviews in Oncology/Hematology, 2008
Follicular lymphomas constitute approximately 30% of all non-Hodgkin lymphomas. These lymphomas are characterized by at least partially follicular growth pattern, but diffuse areas may be present. The proportions of follicular or diffuse areas vary also from case to case, which seems to be associated with prognosis.
