Head Trauma in the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx dinniki)
Background: The Eurasian Lynx lynx dinniki is in danger of extinction in Iran and Turkey. Many wild animals are injured in traffic accidents every year. Head trauma is a common cause of morbidity and mortality in small animals. To ensure the best outcome in such patients, a rapid diagnosis should be made and early treatment should be started.

Many mesocarnivores have low detection rates that hinder practitioners' abilities to implement effective monitoring strategies. Using olfactory attractants (i.e. lures) may increase detection rates, but variation in effects among species is not well understood.

Management of wolf and lynx conflicts with human interests [PDF]
In many areas viable populations of large carnivores are political goals. One of the most important factors in order to achieve viable large carnivore populations is human tolerance for presence of large carnivores.

Climate change drives shifts in suitable habitats for Eurasian lynx and its prey (hare, roe deer) in Mohe, Daxing'anling Mountains. Under RCP scenarios, moderate warming (RCP4.5) promotes substantial habitat expansion, while high‐emission conditions (RCP8.5) lead to strong expansion in the 2050s but slower gains and partial contraction by the 2070s ...

Feline leukemia virus outbreak in the critically endangered Iberian lynx ( Lynx pardinus ): high-throughput sequencing of envelope variable region A and experimental transmission [PDF]
The Iberian lynx is the most endangered felid species. During winter/spring 2006/7, a feline leukemia virus (FeLV) outbreak of unexpected virulence killed about 2/3 of the infected Iberian lynxes.

Apex predators exploit advantageous snow conditions across hunting modes
Advantageous snow conditions—in terms of snow depth and density—are among the most important features of the winter landscape for two apex predators, regardless of hunting strategy. In a warming climate, the knock‐on effects of a diminishing snowpack may reduce the hunting success of multiple large carnivore species.
