Endoparasites of the Eurasian Lynx (Lynx lynx) in Finland

Journal of Parasitology, 2013
We sampled 339 fecal samples, 296 intestines, and 82 lungs from 371 lynx hunted during the 2010-2011 season in Finland. The fecal samples were analyzed for endoparasites by a quantitative flotation method, and helminths from intestines were studied morphologically, while lungs were investigated for pulmonary parasites.

Concentrations of 137Cs in lynx (Lynx lynx) in relation to prey choice

Journal of Environmental Radioactivity, 2005
Concentrations of (137)Cs were determined in 747 lynxes killed in Norway during the period 1986-2001. Highly variable (137)Cs concentrations and aggregated transfer coefficient values were observed, probably caused by variable (137)Cs concentrations in prey and the lynx's extensive home ranges and roaming distances.

Investigations on reproductive physiology in the male Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx)

Theriogenology, 2006
This study characterized (in vivo) morphological and functional parameters of reproductive organs of adult male lynx (n = 3) prior to, during, and after the breeding season (n = 3). Size and morphology of the reproductive tract were monitored by transcutaneous (testes) and transrectal (accessory sex glands) ultrasonography.

Reproductive biology of captive female Eurasian lynx, Lynx lynx

European Journal of Wildlife Research, 2005
Studies on wild Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) have revealed variation in reproduction between areas, years and individuals. In order to explore potential causes for this variation other than food supply, we analysed data from captive lynx, which provide conditions with minimal environmental variation as all were fed ad libitum.

Tooth Resorption in the Swedish Eurasion Lynx ( Lynx Lynx )

Journal of Veterinary Dentistry, 2010
The etiology of tooth resorption in the domestic cat remains unknown. The high prevalence and progressive nature of the disease complicates defining healthy control groups. In order to evaluate the possible influence of various life style changes on the prevalence of tooth resorption, healthy control groups are a prerequisite.

Progesterone, estrogen, and androgen receptors in the corpus luteum of the domestic cat, Iberian lynx ( Lynx pardinus ) and Eurasian lynx ( Lynx lynx )

Theriogenology, 2016
In contrast to the species studied, the corpus luteum (CL) of Iberian and Eurasian lynx physiologically persists in the ovary for more than 2 years and continues to secrete progesterone. Such persistent CL (perCL) transition into the next cycle and are present in the ovary together with the freshly formed CL (frCL) of a new ovulation.

Reproduction management in female Lynx (Lynx lynx)

2017
Lynxes undergo a non-cat like ovarian cycle. Before conducting the studies contained in this thesis, hardly anything of the cycle was fully understood. Concerning conservation aspects, it was important to understand how luteogenesis functions and if it could be manipulated artificially to increase the reproductive output.

Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) in Volyn Oblast

Results of the Implementation of the National Action Plans for the Conservation of the Eurasian Lynx and Brown Bear in Ukraine
Materials on the registration of the Eurasian lynx in the region for 1958–2024 have been collected and summarized. A total of 50 observations (31 of them for the period 2001–2024) are known about it at different times of the year (most often in autumn and winter).

Lynx (Lynx canadensis)

2014
In the late 1990s, my husband Steve and I spent a year planning the construction of a writing cabin for me in a remote corner of our Montana land, where we live. While all I wanted was a modest cabin, the project quickly became complicated and expensive. This prompted us to consider other options.

?????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ?? ?????????????????????????? ?????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ????????, Lynx lynx

2010
The article summarizes own and literature data for variability of coloration, exterior and cranial features of L. lynx in the European part of the species areal. It is demonstrated that male body weight, body and skull linear dimensions are reliably bigger than in females, but by the skulls proportions the sexual dimorphism is defined slightly.
