Fabrication of a flexible and conductive lyocell fabric decorated with graphene nanosheets as a stable electrode material

Carbohydrate Polymers, 2016
Textile electrodes are highly desirable for wearable electronics as they offer light-weight, flexibility, cost effectiveness and ease of fabrication. Here, we propose the use of lyocell fabric as a flexible textile electrode because of its inherently super hydrophilic characteristics and increased moisture uptake.

Biomass-inspired fabrication of eco-friendly, durable flame retardant and ultraviolet resistant lyocell fabric

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules
The pursuit of environmental friendliness, efficiency, and durability is paramount in the realm of flame retardant textile modification. Therefore, an innovative approach was designed to develop a gallic acid-derived intumescent flame retardant (GADPP), which contained reactive (-P(=O)(O-NH4+)2) and (-P(=O)(OCH2CH3)2) groups, facilitating functional ...

Synergetic construction of color and multifunction for sustainable lyocell fabric by Coptis chinensis and BTCA

International Journal of Biological Macromolecules
In the context of escalating standards of living, the demand for healthy and multifunctional textiles is increasing. As a kind of cellulose macromolecular-based material, lyocell fiber has low carbon, is environmentally friendly, and demonstrates superb performance. The utilization of some Chinese herb dyes solves the pollution problem in the color and

Dyeing behaviour of lyocell fabric: effect of fibrillation

Coloration Technology, 2007
To understand the effect of fibrillation in dyeing, non‐fibrillated lyocell fabrics and fibrillated lyocell fabrics were dyed with different types of reactive dyes. Their exhaustion, fixation and K/S values were measured and compared. It was observed that fibrillated lyocell shows lower visual colour yield than non‐fibrillated lyocell, independent of ...

Dyeing of Lyocell Fabrics with Pigment Dispersion Systems

Journal of Dispersion Science and Technology, 2009
Lyocell fabrics modified by cationic reagent were dyed with conventional and nanoscale pigment dispersions respectively. The color yield and fastness properties were measured. It is found that the color yield and fastness properties of the dyed lyocell fabrics are influenced by the cationic reagent concentration, the cationization pH, time, and ...

Effect of Fiber Swelling on the Structure of Lyocell Fabrics

Textile Research Journal, 2001
The effect of liquid swelling on the structural rearrangement of lyocell twill fabrics is studied using a variety of techniques, including optical microscopy, dimensional measurements, and water and hexadecane retention. Lyocell fibers swell predominately laterally in water by about 30% over the dry diameter.

Drying Rates in Resin Treatment of Lyocell Fabrics

Textile Research Journal, 2005
Many properties of lyocell fibers are markedly different from those of other cellulosic fibers. Hence, it is necessary to study Lyocell wet processing to determine and characterize variables that have a significant influence on the properties of finished products.

Dynamic mechanical behavior and Fractography of Lyocell fabric - polyester composite

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract A set of bi layer composites were fabricated by using lyocell fabric which is produced by an eco friendly process. Two different fiber architectures i.e., woven and knitted were used for reinforcing the composites. Dynamic mechanical properties such as storage modulus - E' and loss modulus - E'' were determined experimentally.

The dyeing of Lyocell fabric with direct dyes

Dyes and Pigments, 1995
Abstract Lyocell, cotton and viscose fabrics were dyed using four direct dyes. With the exception of the bordeaux dye used, dyeings on Lyocell were of slightly different colour to comparative dyeings on cotton and viscose; the colour strength (K/S) of the dyeings on Lyocell was lower than on cotton and viscose and the four dyes exhibited lower build ...
