Interfacial Optimization of Lyocell Fabric/PLA with Silane Treatments
Advanced Materials Research, 2010In order to improve the interfacial bonding with polylactic acid, Lyocell fabric’s surfaces were treated with various silanes. The silanes applied were aminoethylaminopropyltrimethoxysilane, 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane and 3-glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane, respectively. Silane was chosen since hydroxyl group (-OH) in silane always reacts with

Dyeing and finishing of lyocell union fabrics: an industrial study
Coloration Technology, 2010Lyocell union fabrics, namely lyocell/silk and lyocell/polyester fabrics, were woven in different fabric constructions and dyed with reactive dyes, acid dyes and a disperse dye. The resulting dyed fabrics were given a resin finishing treatment and their wash fastness was measured.

Influence of fabric structure on sodium hydroxide release from woven lyocell
Textile Research Journal, 2011The sodium hydroxide release (alkali wash-off) from lyocell fabrics with different weave constructions (plain, twill, sateen) was studied by conductivity measurements in the wash bath. An alkali transport coefficient (K) was established to quantify alkali release, which represents the liquid-side mass transfer of alkali release after a pad-batch ...

Four different kinds of wood pulp are used to make lyocell fabric and its intermediate products, and each is evaluated in terms of its physical characteristics and fabric hand values measured with the Kawabata Evaluation System for Fabrics. The rank orders of fiber, yarn, and fabric characteristics as a whole suggest that H4 pulp is ranked highest for

Dyeing behaviour of lyocell fabric: effect of NaOH pre-treatment
Cellulose, 2009To understand the effect of alkali pre-treatment on the dyeing of lyocell fabrics, samples are pre-treated with 0.0–7.0 mol dm−3 NaOH using a pad-batch process and then dyed with different types of reactive dyes. Exhaustion, fixation, and visual colour strength (K/S values) are measured.

A Study on the Efficiency of Lavender Microcapsules on Silk/Lyocell Blended Fabrics
2019In this study, silk/lyocell 50:50 blended fabrics were treated with lavender microcapsules and its efficacy was evaluated by two methods, namely psychophysical assessment to test the fragrance properties and organoleptic evaluation of odour control for anti-odour assessment.
