Iron(III) complexes with ditopic macrocycles bearing crown-ether and bis(salicylidene) isothiosemicarbazide moieties [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the Serbian Chemical Society, 2023
The main aims of this work were the synthesis and characterization of iron(III) complexes with a ditopic ligand H2L consisting of a bis(salicylidene) isothiosemicarbazide moiety with a N2O2 binding site and a crown-ether (O6) moiety.

57Fe-Mössbauer analysis of the biological and synthetic Fe/S clusters [PDF]

open access: yesResearch & Knowledge, 2015
Biological Fe/S clusters play various important roles, such as electron transfer and substrate transformation. In the study of the electronic properties of biological and chemical Fe/S clusters, 57Fe-Mössbauer spectroscopy provides imperative information.

Retraction: Detailed Mössbauer Characterization of Fe2+Fur, the Active Form of the Ferric Uptake Regulation Protein from E. coli and Density Functional Calculations on Some Related Models [PDF]

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2009
AbstractThe Fe2+ center of iron‐substituted ferric uptake regulation protein (Fur) has been fully characterized by applied‐field Mössbauer spectroscopy, and two structural models for this center in Fur from E. coli (EC‐Fe2+Fur) have been developed by combining the crystallographic data available for Fur from Pseudomonas aeruginosa (PA‐Fur) in complex ...

Mössbauer Spectroscopy with a High Velocity Resolution in the Studies of Nanomaterials

open access: yesNanomaterials, 2022
The present review describes our long experience in the application of Mössbauer spectroscopy with a high velocity resolution (a high discretization of the velocity reference signal) in the studies of various nanosized and nanostructured iron-containing ...

57Fe and 151Eu Mössbauer studies of 3d-4f spin interplay in EuFe2−xNixAs2

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
The EuFe2−xNixAs2 (with 0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) compounds exhibiting 3d and/or 4f magnetic order were investigated by means of 57Fe and 151Eu Mössbauer spectroscopy. Additionally, results for EuNi2As2 are reported for comparison. It was found that spin-density-wave

Clay mineral fractions studied by Mössbauer spectroscopy and conventional methods [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Geological Society of Finland, 1975
A X-ray, wet-chemical and thermal study of different fractions of a clay sample has been combined with a Mössbauer spectroscopic investigation. It is shown that conventional wet-chemical analysis can give ferric-ferrous ratios that are very much higher ...

Parametric Mössbauer radiation source

open access: yesPhysical Review Accelerators and Beams, 2022
Numerous applications of Mössbauer spectroscopy are related to a unique resolution of absorption spectra of resonant radiation in crystals, when the nucleus absorbs a photon without a recoil.

Generation of Long-Lived Isomeric States via Bremsstrahlung Irradiation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
A method to generate long-lived isomeric states effectively for Mossbauer applications is reported. We demonstrate that this method is better and easier to provide highly sensitive Mossbauer effect of long-lived isomers (>1ms) such as 103Rh.
