ABSTRACT Chitosan, a polysaccharide upcycled from biowaste, has long promised sustainable, biocompatible, and antimicrobial films and devices, an appeal reinforced by its recent regulatory recognition, with several chitosan‐based antibacterial dressings gaining clearance through the Food and Drug Administration's 510(k) pathway.

Decomposition-Based Method for Sparse Semidefinite Relaxations of Polynomial Optimization Problems [PDF]
We consider polynomial optimization problems pervaded by a sparsity pattern. It has been shown in [1, 2] that the optimal solution of a polynomial programming problem with structured sparsity can be computed by solving a series of semidefinite ...

A geometric characterization of the upper bound for the span of the jones polynomial [PDF]
Let D be a link diagram with n crossings, sA and sB be its extreme states and |sAD| (respectively, |sBD|) be the number of simple closed curves that appear when smoothing D according to sA (respectively, sB). We give a general formula for the sum |sAD| +

M-Polynomial and Topological Indices of Benzene Ring Embedded in P-Type Surface Network
The representation of chemical compounds and chemical networks with the M-polynomials is a new idea, and it gives nice and good results of the topological indices.

M-polynomial Based Mathematical Formulation of the Hyperbolic Sombor Index
The numerical values extracted from a graph that indicates its topology are called topological indices. A contemporary and efficient method is to compute a graph's topological indices using the graph polynomial that corresponds to it. This method of identifying degree-based topological indices involves the use of the M-polynomial.

On polynomial functions (mod m) [PDF]
In this paper, we obtain a canonical representation for those polynomials (with integer coefficients) which vanish (mod m), a canonical representation for each polynomial function (mod m) and an expression for the number of polynomial functions (mod m ...

A thermodynamic model that incorporates ferroelectric, antiferroelectric, and antiferrodistortive orders of PbZrO3${\rm PbZrO}_3$ is established and parameterized based on experimental measurements and first‐principles calculations. We derive a Clapeyron‐like equation for describing the temperature‐dependence of critical electric fields for the ...

On permutation polynomials over finite fields
A polynomial f over a finite field F is called a permutation polynomial if the mapping F→F defined by f is one-to-one. In this paper we consider the problem of characterizing permutation polynomials; that is, we seek conditions on the coefficients of a ...

Collagen II coatings support the formation of synovial fluid nanofilms, while collagen I coatings do not. Both bind recombinant equine lubricin similarly. These findings may help explain articular cartilage surface joint dysfunction, inform biomaterial design for synovial joint repair, and expand on lubricin‐based osteoarthritis therapies.
