Evaluation of analytical performance of the STANDARDTM M10 MPX/OPX assay for the simultaneous DNA detection and clade attribution of Monkeypox virus

open access: yesEmerging Microbes and Infections
Monkeypox virus (MPXV) infection confirmation needs reliable polymerase chain reaction (PCR) assays; in addition, viral clade attribution is a key factor in containment measures, considering a more severe syndrome in clade I and the possibility of ...

Effects of SO(10)-inspired scalar non-universality on the MSSM parameter space at large tan beta [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We analyze the parameter space of the (mu > 0, A_0 = 0) CMSSM at large tan beta with a small degree of non-universality originating from D-terms and Higgs-sfermion splitting inspired by SO(10) GUT models.

Interactive Prompt‐Guided Robotic Grasping for Arbitrary Objects Based on Promptable Segment Anything Model and Force‐Closure Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2025.
A laser pointer‐guided robotic grasping method for arbitrary objects based on promptable segment anything model and force‐closure analysis is presented. Grasp generation methods based on force‐closure analysis can calculate the optimal grasps for objects through their appearances. However, the limited visual perception ability makes robots difficult to

Retinal Vessel Segmentation: A Comprehensive Review From Classical Methods to Deep Learning Advances (1982–2025)

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Four decades of retinal vessel segmentation research (1982–2025) are synthesized, spanning classical image processing, machine learning, and deep learning paradigms. A meta‐analysis of 428 studies establishes a unified taxonomy and highlights performance trends, generalization capabilities, and clinical relevance.

Cognitive Outcome After Deep Brain Stimulation for Refractory Obsessive–Compulsive Disorder: A Systematic Review

open access: yesNeuromodulation: Technology at the Neural Interface, EarlyView., 2021
Abstract Introduction Deep brain stimulation (DBS) is an effective treatment for refractory obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD). Neuropsychological assessment contributes to DBS treatment in several ways: it monitors the cognitive safety of the treatment, identifies beneficial or detrimental cognitive side effects and it could aid to explain ...

The dynamical state of the Globular Cluster M10 (NGC 6254)

open access: yes, 2010
Studying the radial variation of the stellar mass function in globular clusters (GCs) has proved a valuable tool to explore the collisional dynamics leading to mass segregation and core collapse.

On the strongly coupled heterotic string [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We analyze in detail the anomaly cancellation conditions for the strongly coupled $E_8 \times E_8$ heterotic string introduced by Horava and Witten and find new features compared to the ten-dimensional Green-Schwarz mechanism.

Wireless blood pressure sensor implantation in sheep: A detailed technique

open access: yesAnimal Models and Experimental Medicine, EarlyView.
Twelve adult sheep underwent wireless blood pressure sensor implantation. The procedure lasted an average of 36 min, with mean systolic and diastolic blood pressures of 93 ± 6 and 65 ± 5 mmHg, respectively. This rapid, minimally invasive protocol is a powerful platform for cardiovascular device development.
